Job 19:23-29 WHAT I DO KNOW I LIKE

Ch 1 Job's Prosperity v 1-5 His Adversity v 6 - 14

His Fidelity v 20 Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, 21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. 22 In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.

He Looked Back 21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb,

He Looked Forward and naked shall I return thither

He Looked Up - the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.

His Perplexity Ch 3 - Now In Ch 19 I. JOB KNEW ABOUT A REDEEMER v.25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, A. A Personal Knowledge - Of The Redeemer, the Redemption and the Resurrection.

B. A Powerful Knowledge - Life changing!

C. A Privileged Knowledge - I know Him and He knows me! and He still loves me!

II. JOB KNEW ABOUT A RETURNER

v. 25 and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:

A. His Promise - John 14:1-3; Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Rev. 22:20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. 21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

B. His Power - Matt. 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

1. To Return

2. To Rapture - 1 Thes. 4:16-18; For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

1 Cor. 15:51-52 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

3. To Reign - Rev. 19:11-16 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

C. His Performance - He is able to do all He has promised to do!

Rom. 4:21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

Psa. 145:13 Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.

III. JOB KNEW ABOUT A RESURRECTION v. 26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:

A. A Departure - Heb. 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
