What did Jesus do on the cross, did he die as just a man, did he die as just a martyr, or did Jesus die on the cross to make a mark in history? What did Jesus do on the cross: (first, second, third):

1. He Delivered You From Sin.

2. He Did Away With the OT Law.

What did Jesus do on the cross, he did away with and fulfilled the OT Law. Colossians 2:14 says, "having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And he has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross." What did Jesus do on the cross, he did away with the OT Law by fulfilling all the requirements.

3. He Defeated The Power of All Principalities, Powers, and Wickedness in High Places.

What did Jesus do on the cross, he defeated all principalities, powers, and wickedness in high places. Colossians 2:15 says, "He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them". What did Jesus do on the cross, he defeated all the Power's of Hell! In the name of Jesus we have that same power today!
