WHAT DICKTATES YOUR LIFE

There are four things that hurt the church and the Christian witness more than any thing else.

Sad but true I had to learn these the hard way. In today’s churches we have to many men deacons trying to run Gods work and leaving God out of the picture .

Eph.20:20And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

21In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:

22In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

(1) Pride

Proverbs 16:5Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.

Proverbs 16:18Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

19Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.

All men should have a certain pride about them selves

To many go over board and think they are God

Their Spirit becomes haughty they know it all

This will not go unpunished

It is and abomination in the sight of God

There has much destruction came to Gods churches today from this.

(2) Fear

Josh. 24:14Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD.

Josh 4:24That all the people of the earth might know the hand of the LORD, that it is mighty: that ye might fear the LORD your God for ever.

1st Samuel 12:24 Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.

Listen to the T.V. you hear Gods name used in vain like there was nothing to it

Listen to your co-workers using Gods name in vain

There is no fear of God today

God said fear him

Fear brings us to realize who is in charge

Not the preacher not the deacons

Not the rich The big giver not the big worker

The one we claim to serve is in charge

Serve him with our whole hearts mines and souls.

(3) Greed

Matt.16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Matt.19:24And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

1st Tim.3:3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;

2nd Tim. 3:2For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

Remember the ship titanic how it was so strong that God could not sink it.

Men have become so greedy today they think God cant stop them.

Stealing ,killing brawling , think they can kill steal whore hop drugs lucre and no one can stop them

Most men love their selves more than family ,God, church

They are unthankful and unholy never give God a though

(4) Hope

Psalm 9:18

For the needy shall not always be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever.

Psalms 39:7And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee.

Psalms 31:24Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.

1st Thess. 1:3Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

1st Thess 5:8But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

We have hope only in our Lord

Don’t forget God has not forgot you
