What Changes in Your Life When You have Faith
1) Your confession
• Say to the mountains – Mk 11:23 (present)
23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
Pray of Command
Speak to the mountain – its not asking god to move the mountain – its about speaking to the mountain
When you have faith – your whole vocabulary changes.
You begin to speak of the impossibilities that become possible in Gods economy
When you hang around someone with faith – you feel inspired as they are sold out on what God can do as they yield their life over to him
• Future – call things that are not as though they were, Rom 4:17
and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;
I have in times past had a daily statement that I would read out and declare to the spirit realm…..calling those things that aren’t as though they were….I would make declarations over my children, over my marriage, over my finances, over my health, my ministry….
It was a powerful declaration…..
• Your Testimony - Past
You have stories of the power of God at work in your life.
2) What you say no to
• Heb 11:24 .. 24 By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter,
To some extent We are defined by that which we refuse
Or we are defined by that which we refuse to bow down to.
Modecai for example.
Esther 3:1-4
What do you refuse to bow down to?
When you have faith – it changes what you will bow down to.
My faith means I will bow down to the immoral lifestyle of the world
My faith means I will lower my language to the standard of the world
My faith means I will not bow down and worship the god of materialism
My faith means I will not bow down to mediocrity
My faith means I will not bow down to my emotions
3) The signs you leave behind you
• Great Commission, Mk 16:17-18
17 And these signs will follow those who[d]believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they[e] will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
Signs should accompany our life of faith
What you pray for shows your faith level
Your attitude toward the word shows your faith levels.
The fruit of your life shows your faith levels
The attitude towards the tithe shows your faith levels
I look at the last 20 years of my life and I can see the times I had great faith and the times that I was a little weaker in my faith
Here is a big question
What does your life show about your faith?
4) The willingness and boldness you have to take on the giants and hurdles in your life
• Joshua
Number 14: 5
Then Moses and Aaron fell facedown in front of the whole Israelite assembly gathered there. 6 Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had explored the land, tore their clothes 7 and said to the entire Israelite assembly, "The land we passed through and explored is exceedingly good. 8 If the LORD is pleased with us, he will lead us into that land, a land flowing with milk and honey, and will give it to us. 9 Only do not rebel against the LORD. And do not be afraid of the people of the land, because we will swallow them up. Their protection is gone, but the LORD is with us. Do not be afraid of them."
and Caleb
• Numbers 14:24
"But My servant Caleb, because he has had a different spirit and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land which he entered, and his descendants shall take possession of it.
Joshua 14:12
Now therefore, give me this mountain of which the LORD spoke in that day; for you heard in that day how the Anakim were there, and that the cities were great and fortified. It may be that the LORD will be with me, and I shall be able to drive them out as the LORD said.”
5) Your willingness to do whatever it takes to touch God
Another interesting story regarding faith in the Gospels is that paralytic that was lowered down through the ceiling.
Mark 2:1–12; Luke 5:17–26; Matt 9:1-2 –
