INTRODUCTION:

Throughout Scripture, God consistently reveals Himself as the One who is able to do the impossible. In Jeremiah 32:27, He declares, “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” This statement is not a question of doubt, but a divine reminder of His limitless power. It challenges our unbelief and strengthens our faith in His omnipotence.

Many times, life presents situations that appear hopeless, where human strength, wisdom, and resources fail. Yet, it is in those moments that God’s power shines brightest. The same God who created the universe out of nothing, divided the Red Sea, raised Lazarus from the dead, and caused barren women to conceive, is still at work today.

As believers, we must come to a firm conviction that nothing is too hard for our God. He is never intimidated by circumstances, never restricted by time, and never defeated by opposition. The question, “What can God not do?” is simply a rhetorical one; for truly, there is absolutely nothing that God cannot do!

1. GOD IS ALL-POWERFUL (OMNIPOTENT)

God’s power knows no limitation. He has absolute authority over creation, time, and eternity. Every situation submits to His command because His Word carries creative force.

a) God created all things by His Word (Genesis 1:1-3)

In the beginning, God spoke, and everything came into being. His Word is not merely sound; it is spirit and power. When He says it, it becomes reality instantly.

b) His power rules over all creation (Psalm 62:11)

Power belongs to God alone. He governs both the visible and invisible realms. No force, kingdom, or creature can resist His authority.

c) No force of darkness can withstand His power (Philippians 2:10-11)

At the mention of the name of Jesus, every knee must bow — in heaven, on earth, and under the earth. His supremacy is absolute over every spiritual opposition.

d) His power brings life out of lifelessness (Ezekiel 37:1-10)

When the dry bones in Ezekiel’s vision heard the Word of the Lord, they came back to life. God’s power can revive dead dreams, broken lives, and hopeless situations.

Biblical Example: Creation of the World (Genesis 1) — Out of nothing, God formed everything. His Word commanded light, life, and order into existence. This demonstrates His unrivalled creative power.

2. GOD CAN CHANGE ANY SITUATION

No condition is permanent before God. He turns darkness to light, sorrow to joy, and impossibilities into testimonies. His intervention transforms every hopeless situation.

a) God specialises in impossible cases (Exodus 14:21-22)

At the Red Sea, when the Israelites were trapped, God made a way through the sea. What seemed like an end became the pathway to victory.

b) He turns barrenness into fruitfulness (1 Samuel 2:5)

God delights in turning shame into glory. Hannah, once mocked for her barrenness, became a joyful mother because of divine intervention.

c) He restores what is lost or wasted (Joel 2:25)

God can restore years lost to failure, sin, or satanic attack. His restoration is total, covering every area of loss.

d) Nothing is ever too late for God (John 11:43-44)

When Lazarus had been dead for four days, Jesus called him forth from the grave. With God, no case is too far gone.

Biblical Example: Sarah’s Conception (Genesis 21:1-3) — Sarah’s womb, long dead, came alive at ninety years old. God fulfilled His promise despite human impossibility.

3. GOD CAN PROVIDE BEYOND HUMAN EXPECTATION

God is not limited by economy, geography, or human connection. He owns all things and provides abundantly for His people through divine means.

a) He owns the earth and all its fullness (Psalm 24:1)

Every resource on earth belongs to God. He remains the ultimate source of provision, even when human supply fails.

b) He provides through unexpected channels (1 Kings 17:6)

During famine, ravens brought Elijah bread and meat daily. God can use even the most unlikely means to sustain His children.

c) God blesses even in hard times (Genesis 26:12)

Isaac prospered in a land of famine because God’s blessing overrides environmental limitations.

d) He multiplies whatever is placed in His hands (John 6:11-13)

Jesus fed over five thousand people with five loaves and two fish. When you surrender your little to God, He multiplies it abundantly.

Biblical Example: The Widow of Zarephath (1 Kings 17:8-16) — Though she had little, her obedience brought divine provision. Her flour and oil never ran out because God sustained her supply.

4. GOD CAN DELIVER FROM EVERY BONDAGE

God’s power not only creates and provides; it also delivers. No yoke, curse, or captivity is too strong for Him to break.
