Message Point: We should not fear for nothing can separate us from the Love of God.

Focus Passage: Romans 8:35-39

Introduction:

I. God’s love is incomparable

a. Because of its source: (1 John 3:1) “See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are.”

b. Because of its scope: (John 3:16)"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

c. Because of its sacrifice: (Hebrews 10:12) “but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, SAT DOWN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD,

II. God’s love is inseparable

a. Sin cannot separate us: (Romans 5:8) But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

b. Suffering cannot separate us: (Acts 9:15-16) “But the Lord said to him, "Go, for he is a chosen instrument of Mine, to bear My name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel; for I will show him how much he must suffer for My name's sake."

c. Sickness cannot separate us: (Luke 13:11-12) “And there was a woman who for eighteen years had had a sickness caused by a spirit; and she was bent double, and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, He called her over and said to her, "Woman, you are freed from your sickness."

III. God’s love is inescapable

a. God is present with you this morning in His love: (Psalms 139:7-8) “Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there.

b. God is pursuing you this morning in his love: (2 Chronicles 16:9)"For the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His.

c. God is pleading with you this morning in his love: (Isaiah 1:18)"Come now, and let us reason together," Says the LORD, "Though your sins are as scarlet, They will be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They will be like wool.
