2. There is nothing too hard for God. Regardless whatever you are facing today, our God has a great answer for you.

3. The chapter 7, we will see the world’s greatest revival meeting. The world’s greatest in-gathering of souls will take place during the great tribulation.

I. THERE IS NO PROMISE TOO HARD FOR GOD TO KEEP (vv.1-8)

There are more than 30,000 promises in the Word of God but none of them are too hard for God to keep and apply to your life.

Thousands of years ago, God made a promise to Abraham (Gen. 12:1-3). God said to Abraham that He would bless him and his family throughout the earth. God has kept this promise.

We see God working through the 144,000 Israelites. God made this promise to Abraham 4 thousand years before John wrote the Revelation and it has been 2,000 years since the Revelation was written. Yet, God’s promise is still going to happen (Numbers 23:19f). God made a promise in Genesis and fulfills the promise in Revelation.

Who is the 144,000 in the Book of Revelation? This is very simple even though people have made it difficult. God tells us that the 144,000 is Israelites. These are Jewish people.

A. They are Selected

Why is there 144,000? 4 is the earth number. 3 is the divine number. What is 4 times 3? It is 12.

What is 12? 12 is the connection between the heavenly and earthly. 12 is the governmental number of God upon this earth. This why there are 12 Apostles and 12 tribes.

What is 144? This is 12 times 12. In other words, God is multiplying His efforts on the earth. God is intensifying His work in the last days.

Even though this most likely is a literal number, we must not miss the message of the master. God is saying that in the last days, his government is going to be multiplied upon the earth. God is planning to move in an awesome way in the future.

B. They are Sealed (v. 2)

The seal is a mark of ownership. In Bible times, the seal would stand for three things: Possession, protection, and preservation.

God sealed them because He has a special job for them. And, you have sealed by God (Eph. 4:30). You have been sealed to the Day of Redemption. The 144,000 will have the mark of the Father (Rev. 14:1).

During the tribulation, the antichrist will give a number while God, the Father gives us a name. In the final analysis, will your number be called or your name be called? The number is for the lost and the name is for the saved.

C. They are Servants (v. 3)

What are the 144,000 going do during the Tribulation? They are going to preach the gospel of Christ.

Other nations have been absorbed and killed. Yet, the Jewish race cannot and will not be destroyed in the past or in the future. For centuries armies have tried to destroy Israel but Israel continues to live on and on (Jer. 31:35ff).

Every Jew you see and every headline you read says, “God keeps his promises. He will not lie or fail you!

II. THERE IS NO PERSON TOO HARD FOR GOD TO SAVE (Rev. 7:9-14)

Here is the greatest revival in the history of the world. Millions of people will come to Christ through the preaching of the 144,000.

Why will so many people come to Christ in the Tribulation? First, the Church will have been raptured out of the earth. Someone will have to explain the rapture of the Church. I know that the antichrist will lie about this but everyone is not going to believe him. When the Church is raptured, great conviction will come to this world.

Second, people will fear for their lives and will turn to God in the tribulation.

I do not care hard a sinner you are; God can save you. I do not care how good you think you are; you need God to save you.

These millions of men and women who come to Christ are going to pay a terrible price. They will be martyred and will go to heaven through the gates of torture. They will beheaded for the cause of Christ. They will refuse the mark of the beast and will be useless for the world system.
