WEIGHING OUR WORSHIP

Jn. 4:22-24

22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. (KJV)

22 Vosotros adoráis lo que no sabéis; nosotros adoramos lo que sabemos; porque la salvación viene de los judíos. (RVG04)

23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. (KJV)

23 Mas la hora viene, y ahora es, cuando los verdaderos adoradores adorarán al Padre en espíritu y en verdad; porque también el Padre tales adoradores busca que le adoren. (RVG04)

24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. (KJV)

3. Respond

Worship can or should be:

1. Personal and/or Collective

2. Vocal (in the majority of cases)

3. Vibrant---it cannot be boring.

4. God centered

5. Based upon truth

WHEN: At all times

WHERE: Everywhere

God is jealous for the worship of man.

Isa. 42:8

8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. (KJV)

8 Yo Jehová; éste es mi nombre; y a otro no daré mi gloria, ni mi alabanza a esculturas. (RVG04)

Isa. 48:11

11 For mine own sake, even for mine own sake, will I do it: for how should my name be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another. (KJV)

Mt. 4:10

True Worship:

1. Is a matter of will. If someone obligates you to offer worship, can it really be called worship?

2. It requires decisions on our part and it includes sacrifices at times.

Ro. 12:1,2

1 ¶ I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. (KJV)

1 Por tanto, os ruego hermanos por las misericordias de Dios, que presentéis vuestros cuerpos en sacrificio vivo, santo, agradable a Dios, que es vuestro culto racional. (RVG04)

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (KJV)

3. It must be genuine and from the heart.

Jn. 4:23,24
