Summary: A wedding message that I have used many times

Who gives this woman to this man?

The Bible begins with a description of the creation. It describes the beginning of Heavens and the Earth, all plant life and animal life…everything.

After each day of creation, the Bible records, “and the Lord saw that it was good.”

But after creating man, God surveyed his new creation, and for the first time in recorded history the Lord said, “It is not good!” “I is not good for man to be alone!”

There was no one to be a suitable companion to share in the joys, sorrows, victories and defeats of life.

So in Gen. 2:21-24 we read: And the Lord caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, an he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man, He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man. And Adam said: “This is now bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh:

She shall be called Woman,Because she was taken out of man.”

Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

You noticed that God didn’t take the woman from Adam’s head, so that she

would rule over him, nor did God take a bone from Adam’s feet so that he would trample upon her, instead he took her from under the shelter of Adam’s arm, that they might face the future… arm and arm, side by side!

Prayer

Dearly beloved, we are gathered together today, in the presence of God, and the company of your friends and family, to join together this man, ...... and this woman,..... in God’s Holy institution of marriage.

How Can You Show Love Best?

The Best Expression of Love is Time.

1 Thessalonians 2:8-We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God, but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us.

To prove his love for her, he swam the deepest river, crossed the widest desert and climbed the highest mountain. She divorced him. Because he was never home.

How Can I Give Of My Time?

Give Your Time to Each Other in Communication.

Galatians 6:2-Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

You will become one, now more than ever you will share in one another’s burdens.

You are to be there for one another!

Hebrews 3:13-Encourage one another daily. .

Sometimes Couples forget to compliment each other for the things they do!

An exhaustive study shows that no woman has ever shot her husband while he was doing the dishes. - Earl Wilson

Give Your Time to Each Other in The Fun Stuff.

If there was more courtship in marriage, there would be fewer marriages in court!

....., Wilt thou have this woman to be thy wedded wife, to live together after God’s ordinance in the Holy Estate of Matrimony? Will you love her, comfort her and honor her and keep her in sickness and in health and will you forsake all others, and keep only unto her, so long as you both shall live!

....., Wilt thou have this man to be thy wedded husband, to live together after God’s ordinance in the Holy Estate of Matrimony? Will you love him, comfort him and honor him and keep him in sickness and in health and will you forsake all others, and keep only unto him, so long as you both shall live!

Do you give this ring as a sign of your love and commitment?

I pray that God will lead you into situations that will bless you and develop your characters as you walk together, and that you will lean on each other for strength, that you will encourage each other and that your love may grow stronger as each passing day goes by!

..... and ...., since you have committed yourselves to a lifelong love, before God and these witnesses, and since you have agreed to meet the needs of each other as long as you both shall live, and you have made your intentions public, acting in the authority vested in me by God and His church, I now pronounce you husband and wife!

You may kiss the bride!

I would like to present to you...Mr. and Mrs.
