From his abundance we have all received one gracious blessing after another.

For out of His fullness (abundance) we have all received [all had a share and we were all supplied with] one grace after another and spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing and even favor upon favor and gift [heaped] upon gift.

Everything is already in our spirit, by faith we reach out and take it.

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. Motivation of Giving: His Overflowing Love

1. fulness came from Gree word: "pleroma" meaning completion, what fills, what is filled,

2. GOD is so filled up with His Love for us. (Ephesians 3:19) The reason He gave is not on our own merits but out of His Own Love.

May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

3. CHRIST is so filled with GOD, that prompted Him to give to us. (Colossians 1:19,Colossians 2:9)

For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ,

For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body.

No one has ever seen God. But the one and only Son is himself God and is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us.

John 1:4-18 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone.

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.

God sent a man, John the Baptist,

to tell about the light so that everyone might believe because of his testimony.

John himself was not the light; he was simply a witness to tell about the light.

The one who is the true light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.

He came into the very world he created, but the world didn’t recognize him.

He came to his own people, and even they rejected him.

But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.

They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.

So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.

John testified about him when he shouted to the crowds, “This is the one I was talking about when I said, ‘Someone is coming after me who is far greater than I am, for he existed long before me.’”

From his abundance we have all received one gracious blessing after another.

For the law was given through Moses, but God’s unfailing love and faithfulness came through Jesus Christ.

No one has ever seen God. But the one and only Son is himself God and is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us.

That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”

But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets.
