[Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. CHRIST's Peace has been given to us before and after resurrection (irregardless)

"Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you."

John 16:33 (Amplified Bible)

16:33 I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]

Direct statement from the LORD JESUS that what we use right now are His Peace not us.

Isaiah 9:6 (Amplified Bible)

9:6 For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father [of Eternity], Prince of Peace.

It's so easy for the LORD to give us His Peace, because He's the Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 32:15-17 (Amplified Bible)

32:15 Until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, and the fruitful field is valued as a forest.

32:16 Then justice will dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness (moral and spiritual rectitude in every area and relation) will abide in the fruitful field.

32:17 And the effect of righteousness will be peace [internal and external], and the result of righteousness will be quietness and confident trust forever.

Peace is the effect of righteousness and result of righteousness is quietness and confident trust forever.

The world offers fake peace. It's only peaceful if you're seated in a calm, peaceful beach no turmoil, no trouble and no fears. But what CHRIST had given us is True Peace. Peace in the midst of turmoil, trouble and fears.

Isaiah 26:3 (Amplified Bible)

26:3 You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You.

This Peace is so super abundantly provided and is a blessing in itself, that we can bless with peace and we will not run out of peace.

Psalms 29:11 (Amplified Bible)

29:11 The Lord will give [unyielding and impenetrable] strength to His people; the Lord will bless His people with peace.

Luke 10:5 (Amplified Bible)

10:5 Whatever house you enter, first say, Peace be to this household! [Freedom from all the distresses that result from sin be with this family].

B. This Peace is unlike the world's peace. It stands in trouble and fear

"Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]"

The world's peace and the wicked's peace is entirely different. They are only based on outward appearances.

Psalms 28:3 (Amplified Bible)

28:3 Drag me not away with the wicked, with the workers of iniquity, who speak peace with their neighbors, but malice and mischief are in their hearts.

Psalms 69:22-25 (Amplified Bible)
