Summary: The first Sunday Message with the starting of CoVid-19. Short message during virus shut down time. This was shared by text and other media.

Sunday May 3, 2020

From the Desk of the Pastor.

We have a new chapter opening in our lives. We have passed through the ungodly United Kingdom prediction model that Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx used to predict 2,500,000 people would die. We now have one that is closer to the truth. The latest death toll that I saw was 67,046 and the predictions are around 70,000 with the new American model. Flu deaths between October 1, 2019 and April 1, 2020 is between 24,000 – 62,000. There is no accurate count that has been tracked for the flu. The flu and Covid-19 are 1st cousins. The reporting requirements are constantly changing that cause the numbers to go higher and higher.

Every news show on TV is doing the pro’s and con’s of what we did and didn't do. But there is now a new opportunity for the terrific people of our Country. There’s the people that will rush out and start participating in the fantastic world after the opening of Tennessee and our country. The businesses, our churches and the charities need us to get going with spending and giving our money again. There are some that are willing to dip their toe in and move slowly. I believe that I will be a toe dipper for the most part. However, I will cheer on the ones that go out before me.

The herd immunity they say we need to build up will come as we move about. Going out and being with other people so we can build up an immunity so we can not have such a blow to our lives as before.

Nothing in this human life and the way we live will ever be perfect. But one thins is for sure. The herd immunity that the reading and knowing of the Word of God and fellowship of other Christians iss how we Christians get herd immunity.

Lets take a look by reading His word shall we:

Psalm 23 New Living Translation (NLT)

A psalm of David.

1 The Lord is my shepherd;

    I have all that I need.

*-We may be thirst, hungry and completely worn out from our day, week, month and sometimes year we have all that we need, and that need is the shepherd. His name is GOD, JESUS, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT.

2 He lets me rest in green meadows;

    he leads me beside peaceful streams.

*-Have you been there? Have you felt that peace that passes all understanding. Do you know Him as your Savior and provider?

3     He renews my strength.

He guides me along right paths,

    bringing honor to his name.

*-Are we on the right paths that will bring honor to his name. Or are we rambling around on paths that we shouldn't be on? Paths that will not honor his name.

4 Even when I walk

    through the darkest valley,

I will not be afraid,

    for you are close beside me.

Your rod and your staff

    protect and comfort me.

*-When you’re in the dark valley you can always look up and see Him there. Some times we can’t feel him but we can know for sure deep within our soul he is right there beside us. With God we can stand at the Gates of Hell and not back down.

5 You prepare a feast for me

    in the presence of my enemies.

You honor me by anointing my head with oil.

    My cup overflows with blessings.

*-Our God does all of this for us because we are his children. He created us in his own image. He wants to do this. Let us stand and be awed by our God!

6 Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me

    all the days of my life,

and I will live in the house of the Lord

    forever.

*-He pursues us always. He is constantly initiating and seeking for us to come to him for salvation, knowledge, comfort and warmth. Walking with God enables us to see the end of things with the eyes of our souls.

Can we all say Amen?
