We are called to the Christian Walk.

One of the great mysteries of the world is that the whole world is not Christian and everyone serving the Lord. The message of the Bible is one of joy, peace, love and a way of life that leads you from the Abundant Life in Christ here on earth to eternal life with him forever. Of course there are many reasons. Our enemy, Satan has blinded most peoples of the world. Lack of world evangelism is another but there is another reason is that all the people who are saved do not fully walk in the calling God has on their own personal life. Sometimes they do not know the Call God has called them to in the Christian Walk. In this message we share a few ways God is calling and what that call is.

(John 1:12 KJV) But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

I. God has called us to be children of God, part of His family.

A. The Family of God is the position God has called us to have in our lives

1. This is the relationship God want to have with us.

B. He will give us direction because we are His children.

(Rom 8:14 KJV) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

C. The world is looking for an answer and it must come through Gods children.

(Rom 8:19 KJV) For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

2. This is His child living in a loving relationship with our heavenly Father.

D. The best is yet to come in our relationship with the Lord.

(1 John 3:1 KJV) Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

(1 John 3:2 KJV) Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

3. It may good there but it will be greater on the day that we see Him face to face.

II. We are called to be a Servant.

(Mat 10:24 KJV) The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.

A. Being a servant brings greatness.

(Mat 20:27 KJV) And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:

1. God spoke to my heart that faithfulness is Greatness with God.

a. One day while I was praying, I asked the Lord to use me in a great way for His Glory. He spoke to my heart and said Greatness with the Lord is not how big? How wonderful? How many? But that His measuring stick is FAITHFULNESS.

On that last day when we stand before Him, He will ask only how faithful we were with what He gave us to do.

Mat 25:21 KJV) His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

III. In our walk with God we are called to be good Steward.

(Titus 1:7 KJV) For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not self-willed, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;

IV. Some where in our walk with the Lord he calls us to be a soul winner.

A. Winning souls is wisdom.

(Prov 11:30 KJV) The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

B. God loves the souls of all people and wants them to be saved.

(Ezek 18:4 KJV) Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

1. Jesus is the Shepherd and Bishop of our souls.

(1 Pet 2:25 KJV) For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

V. In our walk with the Lord we are call to be soldiers of Jesus Christ.

(2 Tim 2:3 KJV) Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

(2 Tim 2:4 KJV) No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

A. In this walk with God there are times when we are in a battle and need the whole armor of God. Well God has a full armor for us.
