1 Peter 1:18-23

18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

The blood of Jesus has many features. The blood of Jesus:

1. Cleanses (make something free from unpleasantness.)

2. Redeems (atone for human sin.)

3. Sets free (no longer bound by Satan and his chains.)

The bound, broken hearted, and dismayed.

I have come to tell us that WE ARE BLOOD BOUGHT!!

Acts 2:38

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

If you have:

1. Repented of your sins (to recognize the wrong in something you have done and be sorry about it, change your ways.)

2. Been baptized in JESUS name (immerse somebody in water as a sign that the person has been accepted into the Christian faith.)

3. Been filled with the Holy Ghost (God’s Spirit living INSIDE your heart.)

Then you have been BLOOD BOUGHT!

With the blood of Jesus, there comes power. Power that you never thought would be humanly possible.

Matthew 19:26

26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Mark 16:15-18

15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

(Explain above scriptures)

We should not be afraid to step out in faith. If God said we can these things in HIS name, we can.

Philippians 4:13

13 I can do ALL things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

This means:

1. Casting out devils

2. Speak with new tongues

3. Taking up serpents

4. Drinking ANY deadly thing and it not hurting us

5. Laying hands on the sick and them being healed.

John 14:12

12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

The problem is Satan has come and tried to get us discouraged to where we think that we can’t do these things that God has promised that we can do.

1 Peter 5:8

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

2 Corinthians 2:12

11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

We should not give into Satan when he comes up against us. Why? Because we are blood bought!!

In the story of the temptation of Jesus in Matthew 4:1-11, the Bible says that Jesus was in the wilderness for forty day and forty nights and He was hungry. The Bible says the tempter (Satan) came to him and said “If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.” But Jesus came back with a smart answer. He knew the Word would defeat the enemy so He said “It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”

Then Satan took Jesus to the holy city and he sat on a highest of the temple. Satan then said “If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.” But once again, Jesus knew the Word. He said “It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.”

1 Peter 5:8 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: however I am lion, as I roar it is not a proclamation of evil within my own self, rather it is a call from the Spirit for the misguided of the flock to open their own eyes and see clearly for themselves that the sins which have committed in the name of the saviour were unknowingly inviting the devil into their souls, the Lord gave the life of his only son to wash us clean of our sins eternally, sacrifices of the flesh and blood return to us the very sin which Jesus Christ the Lord Saviour gave his only life to free our souls from in order that all may reach Heaven

mortal man is not meant to lament and suffer in the name of God, they are meant to give all that they have to one another, freely, openly, in order to better all of mankind as we strive to become more godly in our own lives and ways
