We All Need A Friend

WE ALL NEED A FRIEND

Acts 26:24And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad.

25 But he said, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but speak forth the words of truth and soberness.

26 For the king knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner.

27 King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest.

28 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.

29 And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.

“What a friend we have in Jesus” ,and old hymn we sing but do really know what it means to us.

1.We need Christ because of our PAST

We have a lot of past sins.

We need to do something about our past.

We need to do away with those sins.

Jesus said come unto me

I will take your sins and cast them in the deepest sea

Ill never remember them any more.

Because of our past Blessings

Ezekiel said “Thy mercies are new every morning”

Out of gratitude we should follow Christ.

2.We need Christ because of our present.

Our every day life.

Without him we are lost in the fog.

A Christ less man is living but that’s all

He says come walk with me daily .

We need him for comfort

We need him for support

We need him to lean on.

Christ told the disciples in the upper room I will not leave you comfortless.

3.We need him in the future

In death

In judgment

In Heaven

In eternity

We need his Love

We need his Spirit

We need his leadership

We need him to protect us from day to day

Without him you will go to and endless hell

No hope no help, no peace, no joy.
