WALKING WITH GOD THROUGH DARK

2nd Corinthians 4:6For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Many thing happen to us in our life we feel we are all alone going through it then we come to realize God was there all the time.

1 In our dark moments God is there.

Matthew 28:20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

2. There is a purpose he allows us dark moments in our lives.

Romans 8:28And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

3. Remember the darkness only last long enough to accomplish his purpose

MalachI 3:11And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.

4 We learn more in the darkness than light

Psalm 23:1The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

5 We will respond to those moments in several ways.

A. Fear 1st John 4:18There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

B. Frustration Galatians 6:9And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

C. Fight Acts 5:39But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.

D. Faith Romans8:37Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

6. We are walking toward the dawn of a new day

1st Corinthians 13:12For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

7. What we learn in the dark we are to share in the light.
