Summary: This semon is generally addressing the notion that we as Christians do not always act and react as a child of God should.

Many people do not look at things realistically. They often act before they think and therefore their actions are often irrational. When we act without God’s guidance and the Holy Spirit, we often regret our actions. It is often said, "When one does something or says something that does not make sense, they are not to or of themselves. As we look at the things people are doing today and the things they are saying, we can certainly say without a shadow of doubt, they are not to themselves. As Saints of God and Believers in the written divine Words of God, we need to wake up and come to our sense. Saints are not acting like the redeemed children of God anymore. It seems like we are just not to ourselves. Certainly, we are not behaving as the Word of God says we should. We need to wake up and come to our sense and realize that the Word of God says, " There is a way that seems right to man but the end thereof is destruction." We need to wake up and come to our sense concerning our finances. We believe the more we make and the more we keep, the more we will have.Wake up and come to your sense. The more you give, the more He gives to you. You cannot beat God’s giving no matter how hard you try. Good measure pressed down and shaken together shall men give unto your bosom. We are always looking for a handout and want to get aboard the free train. Don’t you know if a man does not work he ought not eat! Somebody say amen in here!Wake up and come to your sense, it is a blessing to be able to give and not have to receive; somebody ought to hear me today! We want to become instant millionaires overnight so we dish out dollar after dollar to play the lottery and will not pay out tithe. Somebody say amen!Wake up and come to your sense. God said, "He will supply your every need according to His riches in Glory. If you give like God says you should give, you won’t have to worry about trying to hit the jackpot. What about serving God, here we really need to wake up and come to our sense. We are faithful to God on Sunday but on Monday through Saturday, we are faithful to everyone and everything else except God. You give God one day and Satan six. Hello somebody! Then there are those that will take God’s Sabbath Day to do everything but serve Him. We use Sundays for sports, car washing, house cleaning, family gathering and leave God out. You better wake up and come to your sense. God said, "I will be served and not make a mock of." We go all week and fail to say a word to somebody on behalf of the Lord and we call ourselves Christians. We might be Christians but the question is, what kind and how much of a Christian are we, amen somebody! What about our life styles today? Folks believe they can say anything, go anywhere, and do anything and believe they have the lock and keys to heaven. You better wake up and come to your sense. God is a Holy God and He requires that we be Holy. "Be ye Holy for I am a Holy God," saith the Lord. You can’t stand on the fence; you got to be on one side of the other, amen. Joshua said, " You can serve the gods you served on the other side of the river but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."

Conclusion:

Wake up and come to your sense! Our God is an awesome God. He holds the world in His hands. He rides on every storm. He is the Alpha and the Omega. You better wake up come to your sense. You remember the story of old man Job. Job lost everything he had on this earth. He lost his children, his possession, and his health. But he held on to his faith in God. Job’s wife said to him one day in his pitiful condition, "Why don’t you curse God and die Job?" Job said, "woman you sound foolish, don’t you know the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh it away, blessed be the name of the Lord." Wake up and come to your sense. If God brings you to it, He can bring you through it. If God cannot do it, nobody can do it. I will trust in the Lord. I learned to depend on Jesus. Wake up and come to your sense. It was God that took care of you, it was God that made a way for you, it is God that is keeping you. How long will it be before you wake up and come to your sense?
