Summary: A Biblical perspective on vision.
INTRODUCTION
Any successful endeavor requires a vision.."to see things that are visible" but it also means the ability to see other things." The dictionary says it is "unusual competence in discernment or perception; intelligent foresight"
As it pertains to the work of the Lord, we need vision that is about greater goals (what can be done) and greater objectives (how it can be done).
INADEQUATE VISION:
1. We may not define what we want to accomplish.
2. We may not know how to accomplish what we want.
3. We may think too small and or too general.
VISION NEEDES
1. To be great
2. Specific, detailed action steps.
3. Faith (Romans 1:16, 1 Peter 1:22-25, 1 Corinthians 16:8, Ephesians 3:16)
4. Boldness (Acts 4:13, Acts 4:29)
5. Persistance (Galatians 6:9, 1 Corinthians 15:58)
TAKEAWAY
1. Vision needs to be worthy of its mission.
2. Specific steps should be included to reach the goal of the vision.
3. Have faith in God and his word.
4. Be bold in carrying out the vision for Christ.
