This sermon encourages Christians to actively live out their faith, relying on God's strength and grace, and to remain faithful in all life's situations.

Introduction

Grace and peace to you, my brothers and sisters in Christ. It's a joy to gather once again in the loving embrace of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We stand firm today, not by our own strength, but by the grace of God that is freely given unto us. We are here to celebrate our shared faith, to strengthen our fidelity to Christ, and to engage faithfully in every situation that life presents us.

Our scripture for today is found in the small, but powerful book of Jude, verse 24. It reads, "Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy." What a beautiful reminder of the strength and faithfulness of our God! He not only keeps us from stumbling, but He also presents us faultless before His glory. Isn't that a wonderful promise?

Charles Spurgeon once said, "Faith goes up the stairs that love has built and looks out the windows which hope has opened." This quote is a powerful reminder of the intertwining nature of faith, love, and hope in our Christian walk. We have faith in Jesus as our Savior, love for Him that builds our path, and hope in His promises that opens our view to eternity.

As we begin to unpack the depth of this scripture and the truths it holds for us, let's bow our heads in prayer.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for bringing us together today in your house. We ask for your guidance as we seek to understand your Word and apply it to our lives. We pray for open hearts and minds, ready to receive your truth. Help us to grow in faith, to remain faithful to you, and to face every situation with engagement and faithfulness. We ask all these in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

Faith in Jesus as the Savior

The scripture we read today from the book of Jude is a powerful reminder of the role Jesus plays in our lives. He is not just a figure in a story, but our Savior, our Redeemer, our Protector. This is a truth we must hold onto, a truth we must believe in, a truth we must have faith in.

When we talk about faith, we're not talking about a vague belief in something unseen. We're talking about a deep, unshakeable trust in Jesus as our Savior. This is a trust that is not easily swayed by the winds of change or the storms of life. It's a trust that stands firm, even when everything else is falling apart.

This kind of faith is not something we can muster up on our own. It's a gift from God, a response to His grace. It's a faith that comes from hearing the Word of God and accepting it as truth. It's a faith that grows as we spend time in prayer, as we meditate on God's Word, as we fellowship with other believers.

But this faith is not just about belief. It's also about action. It's about living out our faith in our daily lives. It's about showing the world what it means to be a follower of Christ. It's about loving others as Christ loved us. It's about serving others as Christ served us. It's about forgiving others as Christ forgave us.

This is the kind of faith that the scripture is talking about. It's a faith that keeps us from stumbling. It's a faith that presents us faultless before the presence of His glory. It's a faith that fills us with exceeding joy.

But this faith is not without challenges. There will be times when our faith is tested. There will be times when we face trials and tribulations. There will be times when we are tempted to doubt, to question, to give up.

But in those times, we must remember the promise of the scripture. We must remember that Jesus is able to keep us from stumbling. We must remember that He is able to present us faultless before the presence of His glory. We must remember that He is able to fill us with exceeding joy.

And so, we must hold onto our faith. We must cling to our Savior. We must trust in His promises. We must live out our faith in our daily lives. We must show the world what it means to be a follower of Christ.
