I. Reasons We struggle with Sin
1. Because we live in a sinful, depraved, and corrupted world. - Romans 8:20
2. Because we ourselves are sinful – Luke 5:1-8
3. Because there is a Spiritual battle – Ephesians 6:10-18
II. How We Should View Sin
1. A time of testing - James 1:1-16
2. A time of strengthening - I Peter 2:1-2
3. A time of sanctification (purification) - I Peter 2:4-5
III. Victory over Sin
1. Acknowledge your sin - Psalm 32:5
2. Submit to God - Galatians 5:16
3. Resist the enemy and draw near to God - James 4:7-8
