Victory! - One Of The Benefit Of Righteousness Series

When it comes to triumphing and having victory in our Christian life, there is a critical factor that brings triumph and victory that we need to understand, and that is our awareness of our Righteousness in Christ.
Psalm 112:6, AMP - He will not be moved forever; the [uncompromisingly] righteous (the upright, in right standing with God) shall be in everlasting remembrance.
Fighting an enemy using our will power or our natural strength is exhausting and frustrating. Putting trust in God is a twofold process; first finding the promise of God that empowers trust and faith, and second learn to cast your care on Him.
Psalm 112:7, NIV - They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord.
What an awesome thought to think life can be lived without fearing bad news and having the opportunity for victory.
To live life and not be afraid of bad news would indicate we are so caught up in God and His promises that we know He is leading and protecting us each day.
Let’s not allow ourselves to carry the burdens of life, but instead, trust in Him until we see our victory and triumph over our challengers and our enemies.
Your victory is a finished work. It’s a done deal. How, I hear you ask? Because Jesus did it all for you and me on the cross!
The devil wants you to think you are defeated and that God is upset with you. You did not get sick or lose your job because God was angry at you; nor was it because you weren’t holy enough.
‘You are NOT defeated.’ Anytime you hear someone say that God is blaming you, know that it is only your adversary, the devil, who is talking through them. In Revelation 12, Satan is referred to as the accuser of the brethren. The Bible also tells us that this father of lies, who accuses God’s people day and night, is (present tense) cast down and defeated. The Bible also tells us how to overcome the accuser, it is by the blood of the Lamb (Jesus) and the bold word of OUR testimony that he is defeated. Therefore, we are victors. The devil may be wild and raging with anger, but it is only because he does not have much time left, and he knows it. He knows he is already defeated, and you should be assured of this truth within yourself as well!
When you are assured of this knowledge, you can SHOUT ‘I win because of Christ in me.’ Whenever the accusation of the enemy comes into your life. We need to be aware that the devil no longer is in heaven having the opportunity to accuse you and I, he has been cast down to the earth to be under our feet.
Revelation 12:10-11, AMP
Remember, God is not angry at you. In Isaiah 54, He says, “I have sworn not to be angry with you.” The truth of the matter is that your prayers ought to be answered, and you are supposed to be victorious because of your position of righteousness in God through Christ Jesus. Let’s have a look at what Isaiah 54:8-10 has to say;
In a little burst of wrath I hid My face from you for a moment, but with age-enduring love and kindness I will have compassion and mercy on you, says the Lord, your Redeemer.
9 For this is like the days of Noah to Me; as I swore that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth, so have I sworn that I will not be angry with you or rebuke you.
10 For though the mountains should depart and the hills be shaken or removed, yet My love and kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace and completeness be removed, says the Lord, Who has compassion on you.
This means that you do not have to fast 30 days to receive a miracle, nor do you have to beg Jesus to come down again from the cross. Just stand in the position of your righteousness and you should be basing this truth upon what Jesus has already done. After all, He performed the ultimate sacrifice. If we can accept and receive this truth, we can go before God with a clean conscience. We can go into battle saying, “I come in the strength of God.” “I come believing He is on my side. My victory is secure because God loves me.”
Knowing that the magnitude of God’s love is for us, is outstanding! Jesus took the punishment for sin so we could be declared righteous, simply by receiving His free gift. The Bible tells us in Romans 4:3, “Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.” What do we do to become righteous?
