Victorious Faith

Introduction:

Good morning/afternoon/evening, Beloved of the Most High. Today, I want to talk about the transformative power of faith – not just any faith, but a faith that is reflective and victorious. Our scripture today is found in 1 John 5:4; the Word of the Lord says: "For whatever is born of Yahweh overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith."

I. Understanding Reflective Faith

Reflective faith goes beyond mere belief; it's an intentional and contemplative journey with Yahweh. It involves looking back on our lives, recognizing Yahweh's faithfulness, and allowing that reflection to fuel our trust in Him for the future. Yes, we must look back at the pain, the many disappointments, heartbreak(s). This is how we are able to see how Yahweh has kept us. It reveals how He wrapped His arms around us. It reveals how He healed us. Reflective faith is not blind; it's a faith built on a foundation of experience and relationship with our Creator. Take a pause, embrace His goodness, His guidance, His impact to lose you from the grip of the enemy and place you in the midst of His promise(s).

II. The Birth of Victorious Faith

The verse begins with a powerful statement, "For whatever is born of Yahweh overcomes the world." Here, John is highlighting the divine origin of our faith. Our faith is not a human achievement but a gift from Yahweh. It is born out of our connection with Him. When we realize that our faith is a product of Yahweh's grace, it becomes the source of our victory. This is why we must stand on the promises He has set before us. This is why we can’t look at our circumstances or the storms we are going through. Remember Peter? He asked Yeshuah to bid him to come out on the water. He did & then he walked out of the boat onto the water! He was walking toward Yeshuah, but then “he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid…” (Matt) 14:30. Don’t allow your fear to overcome your victory. Don’t allow what you see to distract you from your victory. Allow your Faith to always allow you to run, walk, and press toward your victory.

III. Overcoming the World

The world presents us with challenges, trials, and temptations. It can often feel like an uphill battle. However, John assures us that our faith is the key to overcoming the world. It's not about our own strength or abilities, but about trusting in the One who has already conquered the world – Yeshuah the Christ. The world and all its horrors, difficulties, and uncertainties can be scary. But remember to allow your faith to remind you of the victory that is yours to behold in spite of it all. John tells us in John16:33, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

IV. The Nature of Our Victory

Now let us reflect on our victory. Back to 1 John 5:4, the verse continues, "And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith." Our victory is not marked by worldly standards of success. It's not about wealth, power, or popularity. Our victory is in a transformed life, a renewed mind, and an eternal hope. Reflective faith leads to a victorious life that aligns with Yahweh's purposes.

V. The Role of Reflection

As we navigate the journey of faith, taking time to reflect on Yahweh's goodness, His faithfulness, and the moments He carried us through it all strengthens our faith. Reflection is not just a nostalgic exercise but a spiritual discipline that deepens our understanding of Yahweh and His ways. It solidifies our trust in Him, making our faith resilient in the face of challenges.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, let us embrace reflective faith – a faith born of Yahweh, victorious over the world. As we reflect on Yahweh's work in our lives, let us walk confidently in the assurance that our faith is not in vain. Our victory is not in our own strength but in the One who holds the keys to triumph. May our lives be a testament to the transformative power of reflective faith, bringing glory to the One who overcame the world on our behalf. You may be struggling now, but you will be victorious if you just allow your faith to guide you. In the midst of doubts, let your faith guide you. In the midst of hurt, let your faith guide you. In the midst of uncertainty, let your faith guide you. No matter what, apply your faith and you will emerge the Victor. Faith is not a “wish,” it’s the empowering force that enables you to overcome challenges and navigate the uncertainties of life with resilience and determination. Amen.
