Summary: King Uzziah was a achiever. He invented the prototype of the modern day's ICBMs and hypersonic missiles. God gave him wisdom when he sought God.
King Uzziah was 16 years old when he became a king. He was the ninth king of Judea and reigned for about 52 years. In the earlier part of his reign, under the influence of a prophet named Zechariah, he was faithful to God and he did that which was right in the eyes of the Lord.
Zechariah mentored him and he sought God. Oil and perfume make the heart glad,So a man’s counsel is sweet to his friend.(Proverbs 27:9) Uzziah obeyed the counsel of Zechariah and walked in the ways of God.
In Jerusalem he made machines designed by skillful men for use on the towers and on the corner defenses to shoot arrows and hurl large stones. He was kind of a innovator, inventing gadgets and gizmos. He invented the prototype of the modern day's ICBMs and hypersonic missiles. It became theowner's pride and neighbour's envy. His military might enabled him to conquer the Philistines and the Arabians and received tribute from the Ammonites. He fortified the country, organized and equipped the army, and personally engaged in agricultural pursuits. He seems to be a person who is good at everything, a jack of all trades. He was a vigorous and able ruler, and his name and fame spread abroad, even to the entrance of Egypt.
The secret of his success was his God-seeking, God-dependent life. He sought God and God prospered him. When we too seek God, He will make us head and not tail.
