Introduction

Today, I want to share a message with you about the importance of working for the Lord. Throughout history, God has found various ways to communicate His message to His people. From speaking directly to individuals like Adam and Noah, to using animals and angels, God has always made sure His message is heard. In the Old Testament, He spoke through prophets, and in the New Testament, He sent Jesus and commissioned the apostles to spread the good news. Today, God still has a message for each one of us.

I. An Urgent Message

The message God has for us today is urgent. It is a reminder that Jesus is coming back soon. Just as a pastor accidentally stood on a dying deacon's oxygen hose, causing him to struggle for breath, we must not neglect the urgency of God's message. The return of Jesus could happen at any moment, and we need to be prepared.

II. A Specific Message

God's message is specific to each individual. For unbelievers, the message is about salvation through Jesus Christ. God loves you and sent His Son to save you from your sins. For believers, the message is about surrendering our lives completely to Him. We are called to grow spiritually, worship, pray, and serve God faithfully. Additionally, God has specific tasks and callings for each of us. He will show us where and how He wants us to serve Him.

III. A Clear Message

God's message is clear and straightforward. We are to be focused, firm, faithful, and fervent in our service to Him. We should not waver in our faith or be swayed by false teachings. Instead, we must stand firm on the truth of God's Word. We are called to be diligent in our work for the Lord, knowing that our labor is not in vain.

IV. An Encouraging Message

Lastly, God's message is encouraging. He assures us that our labor for Him is not in vain. Even when we face discouragement or feel like our efforts go unnoticed, God sees and rewards our faithfulness. We must remember that we are working for Him, not for the recognition of others. Our ultimate reward comes from Him.

Conclusion

God has a message for each one of us today. It is urgent, specific, clear, and encouraging. We must not ignore or neglect this message. Time is short, and Jesus could return at any moment. Let us be steadfast, unmovable, and always abounding in the work of the Lord. Our labor for Him is not in vain. So, let us press on, knowing that He sees and will reward our faithfulness.
