Unseen Resources

Summary: SIMPLY BECAUSE WE ARE NOW LIVING IN THE BEST OF TIMES AND THE WORST OF TIMES AS CHILDREN OF GOD I WANT TO REMIND YOU THERE ARE SOME WONDERFUL UNSEEN RESOURCES FOR US TO USE IN OUR EVERYDAY LIFE. THE FACT THEY ARE UNUSED IS WHAT I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THIS MORNING.
8 Then the king of Syria warred against Israel, and took counsel with his servants, saying, in such and such a place [shall be] my camp.
9 And the man of God sent unto the king of Israel, saying, Beware that thou pass not such a place; for thither the Syrians are come down.
10 And the king of Israel sent to the place which the man of God told him and warned him of, and saved himself there, not once nor twice.
11 Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was sore troubled for this thing; and he called his servants, and said unto them, Will ye not shew me which of us [is] for the king of Israel?
12 And one of his servants said, none, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that [is] in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber.
13 And he said, Go and spy where he [is], that I may send and fetch him. And it was told him, saying, Behold, [he is] in Dothan.
14 Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about.
15 And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, alas, my master! How shall we do?
16 And he answered, Fear not: for they that [be] with us [are] more than they that [be] with them.
17 And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain [was] full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.
I. UNSEEN POWERS
11 Put on the whole armour of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].
THERE IS A FIGHT GOING ON IN THIS SANCTUARY EVEN AS I SPEAK AT THIS VERY MOMENT.
IT IS A FIGHT FOR YOUR MIND, YOUR ATTITUDE, AND EVEN YOUR LIFE!
THEY ARE THE UNSEEN POWERS OF GOOD AND EVIL THAT FIGHT FOR CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE. WE HEAR BOTH SIDES CALLING TO US (FOOTBALL GAMES, DINNER…) AND THE VOICE YOU LISTEN TO IS THE ONE THAT WILL WIN THE FIGHT. THIS IS THE REASON THAT IN ROMANS 12:2 PAUL TELLS US TO BE TRANSFORMED BY THE RENEWING OF OUR MINDS.
CHANGE THE WAY WE THINK ABOUT GOD.
CHANGE THE WAY WE THINK ABOUT HIS SON.
CHANGE THE WAY WE THINK ABOUT HIS SPIRIT.
CHANGE THE WAY WE THINK ABOUT HIS WORD.
CHANGE THE WAY WE THINK ABOUT PRAYER.
CHANGE THE WAY WE THINK ABOUT OUR WALK WITH CHRIST.
THESE UNSEEN POWERS CARRY EITHER BLESSINGS OR CURSINGS, SO WE MUST DO EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO GUARD AGAINST THE EVIL AND THE CURSINGS THAT TRY AND INFLUENCE US IN EVERYDAY LIFE.
II THE UNSEEN POWERS IN A CHURCH SERVICE
A. THERE IS THE POWER OF GOD,
WE CANNOT SEE GOD BUT WE CAN SEE AND FEEL THE EVIDENCE OF HIS POWER.
HE BLESSES US WITH THE GOODNESS OF A VICTORY IN A FIGHT WE NEVER SEE,
FOES WE NEVER TOUCH,
BATTLES WE NEVER FIGHT.
WE CAN FEEL HIS PRESENCE IN THIS ROOM,
I KNOW I CAN FEEL HIM
DO YOU?
B. THE UNSEEN POWER OF SOMEONE PRAYING FOR YOU.
II KINGS 20:5 'Thus says the LORD, the God of David your father: "I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will heal you.
OR AS ELISHA PRAYING FOR HIS SERVENT And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain [was] full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

WE KNOW ABOUT THIS UNSEEN POWER, THE QUESTION IS DO WE USE THIS POWER TO OUR BENIFIT?
III. PEOPLE WHO HAVE SEEN THE UNSEEN
MARY, WHEN GABRIEL TOLD HER SHE WAS HIGHLY FAVORED AMONG WOMEN
SHEPARDS, WHEN THE ANGELS ANNOUNCED THE BIRTH OF CHRIST
PAUL, WHEN HE SAW JESUS ON THE ROAD TO DAMASCUS.
STEPHEN, WHEN HE SAW JESUS SITTING AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE FATHER.
JOHN ON THE ISLE OF PATMOS, HE SAW;
THE RAPTURE OF THE CHURCH
THE TRIBULATION
THE SECOND RETURN OF CHRIST
THE STREETS OF PURE GOLD
