Summary: We all need some help from time-to-time. It is a “fact” of life and living. And more times than not we are doomed as-it-were Unless God stepped in.

Motivational Story: The Young Man and the Star Fish:

Once upon a time there was a wise man that used to go to the ocean to do his journal writing. He had a habit of walking on the beach before he began his work. One day he was walking along the shore. As he looked down the beach, he saw a human figure moving like a dancer. He smiled to himself to think of someone who would dance to the day. So he began to walk faster to catch up. As he got closer, he saw that it was a young man and the young man wasn’t dancing, but instead he was reaching down to the shore, picking up something and very gently throwing it into the ocean. As he got closer he called out, "Good morning! What are you doing?" The young man paused, looked up and replied, "Throwing starfish in the ocean." "I guess I should have asked, why are you throwing starfish in the ocean?" "The sun is up, and the tide is going out. And if I don’t throw them in they’ll die." "But, young man, don’t you realize that there are miles and miles of beach, and starfish all along it. You can’t possibly make a difference!" The young man listened politely. Then bent down, picked up another starfish and threw it into the sea, past the breaking waves and said, "It made a difference for that one." There is something very special in each and every one of us. We have all been gifted with the ability to make a difference. And if we can become aware of that gift, we gain through the strength of our visions the power to shape the future. We must each find our starfish. And if we throw our stars wisely and well, the world will be blessed. -Author Unknown

We all need some help from time-to-time. It is a “fact” of life and living.

We can fulfill the role of “the young man” from the Star Fish story in other people’s life; giving them a helping hand, an encouraging word from time-to-time.

However, there is no greater dancer on the beach than God almighty.

He has so many times walked the beaches of life and lovingly picked up the helpless and placed them back into an environment suited to their need(s).

God’s interventions into man’s life are not only desired, and needed, but are many times miraculous!

Consider:

Adam and Eve:

They had sinned (disobedience).

They were judged, harshly, yet rightly:

Genesis 2:17 “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” -KJV

Genesis 2:16-17 “16- And Jehovah God layeth a charge on the man, saying, `Of every tree of the garden eating thou dost eat; 17- and of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, thou dost not eat of it, for in the day of thine eating of it -- dying thou dost die.’” –YLT

God cursed the serpent to go upon its belly and to eat dust all the days of its life.

God added sorrow unto the woman’s conception.

God cursed the ground so that the man would eat of it in sorrow.
