Jesus has bestowed upon every believer an unlimited power of attorney, granting us the authority to use His name in every situation.
Every believer is born to be a wonder in the world. According to John 3:8, every person born of the Spirit is a living wonder. In Mark 16:17-18, Jesus promises that signs will follow those who believe in his name. These signs include casting out demons, speaking in new tongues, protection from harm, healing the sick, and more. As believers, we have been given unlimited power of attorney in all matters through the name of Jesus.
The name of Jesus is special and unique. It was chosen by God himself, not by Mary and Joseph. The name Jesus means "Jehovah Is Salvation," pointing back to the Father and revealing God's purpose of redemption and salvation for mankind. This name holds no negative associations and is worthy of reverence and worship.
Jesus declares in Matthew 28:18 that all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to him. He surpasses all political, traditional, spiritual, financial, and military powers. Jesus is the ultimate source of divine solutions to our problems. He has the power to overcome any oppression, stagnation, or confrontation we face in our lives. By surrendering our lives to him, we allow his power to intervene and bring about change.
1. Healing: Jesus performed numerous healing miracles during his earthly ministry. His power can penetrate our body, mind, and spirit, bringing physical and spiritual healing. As believers, we not only receive healing but also have the power to heal others in Jesus' name.
2. Authority: Jesus had authority over demons and cast them out. After his ascension, he still holds this authority as he sits at God's right hand. He has given us the same authority to exercise in his name.
3. Victory: Jesus conquered death through his resurrection. In his name, we have victory over the problems of life. We are more than conquerors, and problems will not overcome us.
4. Life: Through Jesus' name, we receive new life to walk in righteousness on earth and eternal life to dwell with him in heaven.
Throughout Scripture, we see the power and authority that resides in the name of Jesus. Demons are powerless, healing occurs, salvation is found, and our actions are to be done in his name. Jesus has granted every believer unlimited power of attorney to use his name in all situations. Our authority rests in our submission to him. Let us embrace the power in the name of Jesus and experience the wonders it brings to our lives.
