The Importance of Activating the Gift

Paul encouraged Timothy to stir up the gift that was in him. This gift is the Holy Spirit. Paul understood that receiving the gift was not enough; it needed to be activated. Timothy had the responsibility to keep the gift stirred and active. In other words, he needed to keep the fire burning.

The most important thing in life is to meet Jesus, be forgiven of sins, and become a child of God. This requires being born again. No matter how religious or good a person is, being born again is essential. Jesus said that without being born again, one cannot see or enter the Kingdom of God.

Once a person is born again, the next important step is to be baptized with the Holy Spirit and fire. Jesus commanded his disciples to wait in Jerusalem until they received this baptism. The Holy Spirit empowers believers to fulfill the great commission and continue Jesus' ministry on earth.

The book of Acts shows how the early church operated in the power of the Holy Spirit. Signs, wonders, miracles, and spiritual gifts were evident in their lives. This should be the pattern for the church today.

We need a fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit in our churches and personal lives. We need a divine interruption, where God shows up supernaturally and shakes us up. We should desire a Holy Spirit invasion that sets us on fire.

Each individual is responsible for keeping their own flame burning. We must remove anything that resists the Holy Spirit and seek the Lord wholeheartedly. Praying, worshiping, reading the Bible, and praying in tongues are ways to stir up the gift within us.

We cannot afford to let our fire go out, especially as the end times approach. Many believers have fallen asleep spiritually, and it's time for us to wake up and activate the gifts within us.

When our gifts are activated, we can activate others. We become dangerous to the enemy and can spread the fire of the Holy Spirit wherever we go. Just as Samson set the foxes on fire and they spread the fire everywhere they went, we can carry the fire and be a threat to hell.

Let us pray together and ask God to stir up and activate the fire and anointing within us. May we carry the fire and be a light in this world.
