Youth Sermon: Unhindered Gospel

Introduction

Today, we're gonna talk about the gospel. That's the good news about Jesus and how He came to save us all. But here's the cool part - this gospel is for everyone, no matter who you are or where you're from. It's like a light that shines in the darkness, and we get to share it with others. So let's dive in and see what this is all about.

This gospel is for everyone, no matter who you are or where you're from.

The Gospel as a Light

First, let's look at a verse from the Bible. In Isaiah 49:6, God says that He will make His servant a light for all nations, so that His salvation can reach the ends of the earth. That servant is Jesus, and He came to bring the good news of salvation to everyone, not just a select few.

Now, I want you to imagine a flashlight. When you turn it on, it shines a light that can help guide you in the dark, right? Well, the gospel is like that flashlight. It's a light that guides us out of the darkness of sin and into the amazing love of Jesus. And guess what? We get to be like little flashlights too, shining the light of Jesus to everyone around us.

Our Mission

So, how do we do that? Well, Jesus gave us a mission in Matthew 28:18-20. He told us to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them to follow His ways. That means we get to share the good news of Jesus with everyone we meet, no matter where they're from or what they look like.

Think about it - in Revelation 7:9, we get a glimpse of what heaven will be like. It's gonna be filled with people from every tribe, nation, and language, all worshiping God together. That's the kind of world Jesus wants us to help create, by sharing His love and the gospel with everyone we meet.

Sharing the Gospel

Now, I know it can be scary to talk about Jesus with others. But remember, the gospel is powerful, and it can change lives. So don't be afraid to share it. You can start by asking simple questions like, 'What do you think about Jesus?' or 'Have you ever heard of the gospel?' Just be yourself and let the Holy Spirit guide you.

So here's the challenge for this week: think of one person you can share the gospel with. It could be a friend, a classmate, or even a family member. Pray for them and ask God to give you the courage to share the light of Jesus with them.

Closing Prayer

Let's pray together: 'Lord, thank You for the amazing gift of the gospel. Help us to be like little flashlights, shining Your light to everyone we meet. Give us the courage to share Your love and the good news of Jesus with others. In Your name, we pray. Amen.'
