VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. Love of GOD for us

"May the Lord direct your hearts into [realizing and showing] the love of God"

CHRIST is the Director, we are all actors, actresses acting out our love for us, considering the world as a big rehearsal stage for the real show to take place in Heaven.

1 John 4:10 (Amplified Bible)

In this is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation (the atoning sacrifice) for our sins.

2 Timothy 1:7 (Amplified Bible)

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.

Ephesians 5:2 (Amplified Bible)

And walk in love, [esteeming and delighting in one another] as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us, a slain offering and sacrifice to God [for you, so that it became] a sweet fragrance.

We boast in His love for us, not the our love for Him, because it's weak, remember the disciple who boasted the disciple whom JESUS loved, he boasted about CHRIST's love for him, and ended up receiving a ministry to take care of JESUS's mother even after ascension, what a privelege, what an honor! but the disciple who boasted about his love for CHRIST denied Him three times.

John the beloved:

"saw the disciple whom Jesus loved"

John 21:20 (Amplified Bible)

But Peter turned and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved, following—the one who also had leaned back on His breast at the supper and had said, Lord, who is it that is going to betray You?

...received a ministry from the LORD JESUS CHRIST to take care of His mother for Him, not just to take care but be a son to Him. what responsibility!

John 19:26 (Amplified Bible)

So Jesus, seeing His mother there, and the disciple whom He loved standing near, said to His mother, [Dear] woman, See, [here is] your son!

Peter, who boasted about his love for the LORD JESUS CHRIST:

Matthew 26:35 (Amplified Bible)

Peter said to Him, Even if I must die with You, I will not deny or disown You! And all the disciples said the same thing.

... and denied Him three times.

first time:

Matthew 26:69-70 (Amplified Bible)

Now Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard, and one maid came up to him and said, You were also with Jesus the Galilean!

But he denied it falsely before them all, saying, I do not know what you mean.

second time: (with an oath)

Matthew 26:72 (Amplified Bible)

And again he denied it and disowned Him with an oath, saying, I do not know the Man!

third time: (with a curse and swear this time)

Matthew 26:74 (Amplified Bible)

Then Peter began to invoke a curse on himself and to swear, I do not even know the Man! And at that moment a rooster crowed.

B. CHRIST made us strong

"and into the steadfastness and patience of Christ and in waiting for His return. "

We are made strong not like Peter who was not yet baptized in the HOLY SPIRIT, but He was changed, so if it happened to him, it could also happen to us. Patient waiting was used in the Greek bible, so it means:

Patient persistence was already given to us:

Romans 2:7 (Amplified Bible)

To those who by patient persistence in well-doing [springing from piety] seek [unseen but sure] glory and honor and [the eternal blessedness of] immortality, He will give eternal life.

Endurance of suffering because of the gospel already given to us:

2 Corinthians 1:6 (Amplified Bible)

But if we are troubled (afflicted and distressed), it is for your comfort (consolation and encouragement) and [for your] salvation; and if we are comforted (consoled and encouraged), it is for your comfort (consolation and encouragement), which works [in you] when you patiently endure the same evils (misfortunes and calamities) that we also suffer and undergo.
