Unchanging God

Summary: • The Immutability (Immutability – not capable of or susceptible to change) of God is an attribute that God is unchanging in His character, will and covenant promises. • THE ONLY THING THAT IS CONSTANT IS GOD.
GOD DOES NOT CHANGE:
1. His Attributes never change.
• God is Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent.
• God is a God of Love, Mercy, Justice and Grace.
• Revelation 1:8
8“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”
2. His Word is timeless.
• Psalms 33:11 – The Counsel of the Lord stands forever.
The Plans of His heart to all generations.
• Matthew 24:35
35Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
• 1 Peter 1:25
But the Word of the Lord endures forever. And this is the word that was preached to you.
3. His Promises is Everlasting.
• Joshua 21:45
45Not one of all the LORD ’s good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.
Promises of God:
• 1 John 2:25
And this is what He promised us – Eternal life.
• Isaiah 41:10
10So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
• Jeremiah 33:3
3‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’
• John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
