Proverbs 3 v 1 - 12 I. THE PERSON OF TRUST. 5 Trust in the LORD “Lean on, trust in, and be confident in…” The Lord Because Of :-
(a) His Consciousness- Matt 6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.we have a God that is omniscient or all knowing?
(b) His Concern- 1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
(c) His Consistency- 1 Cor 1:9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. (d) His Capablity- Eph 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Isa 26:4, Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength
II. THE PERFECTION OF TRUST. “with all thine heart.” (a) Trust God with the all thine HEART that's Devotion (b) Trust God with the BODY that's Duty Romans 12 v 1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. (c) Trust God with the SOUL that's Discretion Mark 8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? (d) Trust God with the SPIRIT that's Deliverance Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. III. THE PREVENTION OF TRUST. “lean not on thine own understanding…” We need to Lean.
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. We need to Learn. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him,
We need to Leave 7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. IV. THE PURPOSE OF TRUST 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, A) Our Acquaintance with God 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, B) Our Awareness of God "In all thy ways acknowledge him ". Satan desires to destroy men's lives, Jesus came to save men's lives 3. He Is The Answer To Service How can we serve God and be acceptable to Him? John 15:5–“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” V. THE PROMISE OF TRUST 6 and he shall direct thy paths. A) Proper Paths Psalm 32:8, "I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye." B) Prosperous Paths "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success" (Joshua 1:8).
