Summary: Did you know anxiety hampers faith but trust boosts faith?

Trust in the Lord forever!

Isaiah 26:4”Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD GOD is an everlasting rock.”

Did you know anxiety hampers faith but trust boosts faith? When I walked into an Officer’s room with my big file with all relevant documents for the running of our Abide Public School, I was filled with angst, fear, confusion and worry: “How would I handle this educational institution with no prior experience? Would I get it soon? How will I go about this? – a million questions hammered my mind. Well, as I went through the grind, day in and day out visiting the officials, various desks and a lot of running around – now, calmness and peace has come over me! Hurray! I don’t have to fret and fume, I don’t have to get frustrated and discouraged – God would bring it through! Amen. Ah! Such peace has come over me that now I can sit in front of the officer’s cabin singing and worshiping on the inside of me because I know and I know – he has to sign the file one day –no way out! Hallelujah! This is God’s project! God is the head of this project and He would see to it that things move! Friend, when you put God as the Head of your project and do things as per His Word, then even if it looks weird and surreal for you; and even if it looks like an irrationally insane journey, go for it, victory would be yours - if you just trust Him ceaselessly. Steadfast faith! Don’t waiver!

It took three years for a single paper with updates about our school to be passed to the head office! The endless phone calls, frustration, discouragement, agony, pain, restlessness, tiredness and fatigue was ample during the process; yet, it is the Word of God that kept us tight in the track. Believe me, I would have gone bonkers without His Word! The Bible says: “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.”(Isaiah 26:3)

Just before writing this message, I received a disturbing news, let me be frank, anxiety and worry was trickling little by little into my mind: what would I do, How would I handle this? However; immediately, I wanted to plug these negative thoughts, I closed my room and started praising Him loudly and also praying loudly. A got a thought at that time: “Let your voice be loud and drown the voice/noise of the devil that discourages you.” Amen. That’s what Hannah did! She became the mother of a prophet Samuel!

Some of us want cookies without actually mixing the dough and bringing them into the oven! Cookies don’t come without dirtying our hands! Are you listening? Please put the extra effort of praying, fasting and reading His Word for a delicious and happy life that your looking for!
