Trouble in the House

Matthew 7:24-27

One thing for certain if you are alive trouble will find you

We live in a fallen world

Chaos all around

Being a Christian is not the absence of problems but the assurance of Victory.

Question is why do these problems come in?

1) Sometimes we hear God’s word but we don’t put to it practice.

a. We can be hearers but not doer’s

b. We can hear the same message over and over

Until we put it into practice.

2) Sometimes we don’t keep God First Place

a. I was taught at a very young age in the Lord

b. Keep God first place

c. Family Second place

d. Work Third place

And YOU WILL see thing begin to WORK OUT!!

Jeremiah 17:13

LORD, you are the hope of Israel; all who forsake you will be put to shame. Those who turn away from you will be written in the dust because they have forsaken the LORD, the spring of living water.

These problems are designed to get our attention to turn back to God

3) Sometimes testing of your faith

1 Peter 1:7

These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

4) Sometimes it is for the purpose of ministry

Luke 22:31

“Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift each of you like wheat.

But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers."

5) Sometimes it is just Life.

Matthew 5:45 b

He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

There are things that we have no control over.

There are people in our lives

We cannot force them

Control them

They have a free will

These people can bring trouble to our lives or they can be a blessing to our lives

Scripture says Sun to rise on the evil and the good

Sometimes it is just a nice sunny day

Sometimes it is just a blistering heat scorcher

Sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous

Sometimes it is a sweet morning shower

Other times it is a flood out of control

a. We don’t understand it

b. We probably never will until we get to heaven

No matter the cause of the problem Jesus is the answer!!

Jeremiah 17:14

Heal me, LORD, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise

Altar Call:

Repentance:

Simply put to turn around and go in a different direction,

to stop what we have been doing and begin a new life following Jesus

LOST:

Maybe Never received Jesus as Lord of your Life this is your moment.

Admit you’re a sinner

The Bible says we are ALL sinners

Believe that Jesus died upon the cross rose again on the 3rd day

Confess your sins to Jesus

BACKSLIDDEN:

You have drifted from the Lord and Holy Spirit has been tapping at your Heart NOW is the time to make thing right between you and the Lord

SAVED:

Maybe the troubles you have been going through is to help others through their struggles, your experiences of Victory through the troubles that the Lord has brought to your Christian walk. Is a platform for ministry!!

Harvest is plenty but the Laborers are few. Use your struggles and Victory to bring Praise to JESUS. Don’t quit in the season of testing
