This sermon aims to explore the concept of spiritual transformation as outlined in Romans 12, emphasizing the need for Christians to present themselves as living sacrifices and renew their minds to discern God's will.
Good morning, church family! Today we are diving into a transformative message from Romans 12. We are going to be exploring the need for transformation, the process of transformation, and the results of transformation. To kick us off, let me share a quote from the revered Christian author, Oswald Chambers, who once said, "If you have not been put into the obscure hole by God, and have not been commanded to be still, then you know not the sweetness of the light that God will pour in." Isn't that powerful?
Now let's get into the scripture. Romans 12:1-2 says, "I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."
Let's bow our heads in prayer. Dear Lord, we are grateful for Your Word that guides us daily. As we delve into Romans 12 today, open our hearts and minds to grasp the significance of transformation in our lives. Help us to understand the process and the results. May we be willing to present ourselves as living sacrifices, ready for the renewal of our minds. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
