ABSOLUTE TRUST IN GOD

“Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree plant eth by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green, and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit” – Jeremiah 17:7-8

Most men fail because they trust in the arm of flesh. David declared, “Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man” (Psalm 108:12). The fastest formula for failure is putting your hope in mortal man, including your own expertise. The world says you don’t put all your eggs in one basket, but biblical faith teaches that we put all our trust in Jehovah. Put all your eggs in the hands of God who can carry every aspect of your life.

I noticed an attitude of utter dependence on God, in the life of Joseph. When the great Pharaoh called him and asked him concerning his skill at interpreting dreams, Joseph never squared his shoulders or started to boast. He said,” . . . it is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace” (Genesis 41:16).

We can be further encouraged from Jeremiah 17:7-8. You will be supernaturally located for promotion and continuous victory, when you put all your eggs in one basket; God’s basket. God becomes your succour at work, in your marriage and everywhere you go. I see in Joseph a man guided and guarded by the eyes of God. Everywhere he went, he had uncommon favour. Joseph had one hope, and that hope was in his covenant with God. Make a holy abandon on God; it is the best bargain in the world
