MT. 6:19-21
“Don’t let the moths eat you”
Story of old army uniform from my step father WW2
We need to work for the Lord and not this world. Keep our hearts steadfast on god.
Is. 51:6-8
Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath; for the heavens shall be dissolved and vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner [like gnats].But My salvation shall be forever, and My rightness and justice [and faithfully fulfilled promise] shall not be abolished.
Listen to Me, you who know rightness and justice and right standing with God, the people in whose heart is My law and My instruction: fear not the reproach of men, neither be afraid nor dismayed at their revilings. For [in comparison with the Lord they are so weak that things as insignificant as] the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool. But My rightness and justice [and faithfully fulfilled promise] shall be forever, and My salvation to all generations.
We need to put on our garment of praise and shout our praise to God from the mountain tops. OUR GOD REIGNS.
Once saved and decide that’s all you need to do. WRONG.
Those moths (SATAN) will get in and eat away at your salvation and eventually your praise garment will become holy and I don’t mean spiritual…
Here are some ways to become Fruitful servants to our master and a warning about boasting about self.
1. We must grow and be fruitful to God’s work.
Jn. 15:1- 4
I AM the True Vine, and My Father is the Vinedresser. Any branch in Me that does not bear fruit [that stops bearing] He cuts away (trims off, takes away); and He cleanses and repeatedly prunes every branch that continues to bear fruit, to make it bear more and richer and more excellent fruit. You are cleansed and pruned already, because of the word which I have given you [the teachings I have discussed with you]. Dwell in Me, and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me, and I will live in you.] Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in (being vitally united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me.
We must learn to let Jesus LIVE in us, have control of our lives, and we must LIVE in Him.
Jn. 15: 5-8
I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing. If a person does not dwell in Me, he is thrown out like a [broken-off] branch, and withers; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire, and they are burned. If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you. When you bear (produce) much fruit, My Father is honored and glorified, and you show and prove yourselves to be true followers of Mine.
2. God has chosen you, He has picked you out to bear much fruit for His glory. He prunes us as needed so we can produce much fruit for His glory.
ILL. A Rose bush that is not pruned yearly will go from a beautiful flowering bush to a wild and ugly bush that produces little flowers with no beauty at all.
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE.
Jn. 15:16
You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed you [I have planted you], that you might go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit may be lasting [that it may remain, abide], so that whatever you ask the Father in My Name [as presenting all that I AM], He may give it to you.
3. We are also known by the fruit we bear.
Matt. 7:16-2016
You will fully recognize them by their fruits. Do people pick grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles? Even so, every healthy (sound) tree bears good fruit [worthy of admiration], but the sickly (decaying, worthless) tree bears bad (worthless) fruit. A good (healthy) tree cannot bear bad (worthless) fruit, nor can a bad (diseased) tree bear excellent fruit [worthy of admiration]. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire.
Therefore, you will [o]fully know them by their fruits.
We are known by our fruits.
4. Are you a tooter or a fruitful servant?
A tooter is someone who is always talking about god but in reality these fruits bear no witness. It’s all talk. You toot your horn loud so people can hear you and God answers you this way!
