Today Is Yesterday's Tomorrow—7 Series

Summary: His presence confirms our stability and ensures our continuity. Only in vain can we take a step into the future without His approval and unmistakable presence.
TODAY IS YESTERDAY’S TOMORROW—7
“As I was with Moses so I will be with you …” Josh. 1: 5. God’s presence is the validity of our continuity. “In Him we live, in Him we move and in Him we have our being.” Acts. 17: 28.
He is playing an uncertain gamble who looks into the future without the eyes of God.
The guarantee of your future is God. Don’t plan any journey, don’t draw any blue-print or imagine any project without Him. There are enough forces that extinguish the fire of bright vision and exterminate laudable hopes.
A generation once woke up with enthusiasm. They called a town meeting, assembled the think tanks of the society. They were to build a tower which will reach to the skies. “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens. Let us make a name for ourselves …”, they conversed. (Gen. 11: 4)
They got the best of Architects, Engineers and other builders. The building materials were handy. Every man volunteered their expertise and services. They had all things ready but shut God out.
I hope you are not planning for the years ahead like the men of Babel. I hope you put Him in consideration as you enroll in that college or send resume to that organization.
God allowed them to start without Him. He made them get to some point outside of His will. But note this, anything He does not permit cannot hold together. No matter how grandiose, how laudable in the sight of men it may be. It doesn’t matter even if the whole world is applauding it, one day we will see it in the sky, the next it will become rubbles in the valley of life.
“Joshua, I was with Moses. He was unqualified in his own sight but because I was with him, he dealt with Pharaoh. He defied and defiled Egyptian gods. He vandalized the Amalekites. Sihon and Og were brought to nought—because of my presence with him.
However, when the builders of the Tower of Babel misbehaved and shut me out of their plans and projects, I gave them up to their vile imaginations. Their reward was confusion of tongue and wandering”.
Moses had always known that God’s presence is the guiding light in the darkness of the alleys of life. No man can walk straight without stumbling without His help. The offer of guidance of an angel would not satisfy Moses. He cried, “If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence” Ex. 33: 1, 2, 15—17.
Jehovah said to him, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest”
Beloved, in times like these, in the midst of uncertainties that have beclouded the present day journey through life, we need to hear that message of assurance of His presence again and again.
It was David Livingstone who prayed years ago,
"Lord send me anywhere, only go with me;
Lay any burden on me, only sustain me;
Sever the tie but the tie that binds me to Thyself"
“As I was with Moses, so I will be with thee”
“Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world". Amen. Matt. 28:20.
You must need to know that it’s only on the platform of your faith in Christ that you receive and live in the benefits of God’s promises. In case you have not done so, you need to ask the Lord Jesus into your heart today. Just simply but heartily invite Him to live in you and be your Savior and Lord today. You would forever be glad you did.
Your future is certain because God is. Enter into it.
Shalom!
