Mark 12:29-31

Man and wife go to a marriage counselor and after a length discussion, the marriage counselor walk over to the wife grabs her by the shoulders, pulls her up to him and kisses her on the mouth and then turns to her husband and says, ‘She needs this twice a week!”

And the husband (without blinking and eye) says, “I can have her here on Tuesdays and Thursdays!”

You can’t fulfill the other commandments unless you accomplish these!

You can’t fulfill the other commandment unless commit to these!

You can’t fulfill the other commandment unless you surrender to these!

Fulfilling These Two Commandments Gives You Purpose And Peace!

An elderly woman went into the doctor’s office. When the doctor asked why she

was there, she replied, "I’d like to have some birth-control pills."

Taken back, the doctor thought for a minute and then said, "Excuse me, Mrs. Smith,

but you’re 72 years old. What possible use could you have for birth control

pills?"

The woman responded, "They help me sleep better; You see, I live with my

daughter & son-in-law & their 6 children.”

The doctor thought some more & continued, "How in the world do birth control

pills help you to sleep?"

The woman said, "Simple, I put them in my daughter’s orange juice every morning

and I sleep a lot better at night."

What are we supposed to do? (Love)

To Whom are we supposed to direct our love? (God)

We express our love toward Him by our actions!

(How we live. How we act. How we trust Him. How we serve Him.)

It’s not only in actions that we express our love…We also, express love with our words.

“I Love You!”

Some people have never heard those words from their parents, spouse, children or if they have it has been along time.

When is the last time you told the Lord, “I love you.”?

Heart Examine-We need to examine our heart!

ALL-All your heart, all your soul, all your mind and with all you strength.

Daddy use to say, “You know when I want that second piece of pie, right before I have the first!”

We should serve God, love God, worship God with all that we have, all that we are!

God doesn’t want some of me, He wants all of me and He wants all of you!

Is He getting all of you? All The Time? Sometimes? None Of The Time?

A young man was sent to Spain by his company to work in a new electronics plant.

It was a 2 year assignment that he had accepted because it would enable him to

earn enough to marry his long-time girlfriend. They wrote to each other every

week, but as the lonely weeks went by, she wrote expressing doubts that he was

being true to her, thinking that he was going to give into a European beauty.

The young man wrote back, declaring with great passion that he was not paying

attention to the local girls. He wrote, “I admit, that sometimes I’m tempted, but

I fight it. I’m keeping myself for you.”

In the next mail, the young man received a package. It contained a note from his

girl and a harmonica. She wrote, “I’m sending this to you, so you can learn to

play it and have something to take your mind off the girls.”

The man replied, “Thanks for the harmonica. I’m practicing it every night while

I only think of you.”

At the end of his 2 year, the man was transferred back to company headquarters.

He took the first plane to Tennessee to be reunited with his girl. Her whole

family was with her, but as he rushed forward to embrace her, she said, “Just

hold on there a minute, Billy, before any serious kissing and hugging, let me

hear you play the harmonica!”

Soul And Strength:

These two phrases give us two different pictures.

When we think of soul we often think about something inward, we think of your will, your emotions the hidden part of us that makes us who we are who we are and reveals why we do what we do.

When we think of strength, we think of something outward, strength is

displayed in action, strength is displayed in what we do.

Hymn-Take My Life-Page 455

1. Take my life and let it be consecrated, Lord to Thee.

Take my moments and my days, let them flow in ceaseless praise.

2.Take my hands and let them move at the impulse of thy love.

Take my feet and let them be swift and beautiful for Thee.

3. Take my voice and let me sing always, only for my King.

Take my lips and let them be filled with messages from Thee.

4. Take my silver and my gold not a mite would I withhold.
