TO BE MADE CLEAN—Luke 5:12-16

Shun/Outcast/Heal/Untouchable

Need:

...You feel Shame/Guilty/Dirty/Unclean/Filthy in their presence?

Is there something in your Past, Present, Future(still involved in it now)

?Do others Sense that shame with their spirit?

?Does it Repel others or cause others to Shun you...

Jesus cleansed a man of leprosy.

Jesus can cleanse the unclean.

What is required/necessary for a person to be made clean?

1—To Be Made Clean requires...

An Accurate/CORRECT DIAGNOSIS(:12)

Explanation:(:12)

“And it came about that while He was in one of the cities, behold, there was a man full of leprosy; & when he saw Jesus, he fell on his face & implored Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”

“Leprosy”—Wasting Disease

Something that is terribly wrong...Prevents you from comfortable interaction with God’s people...

Whether you want to accept it or not, your condition is deplorable but is knowable/identifiable.

Whether you want God to know it or not, He always does, & makes an accurate diagnosis of your condition.

Not something external or in someone else.

Something in you is the problem.—Sin—A disease process that works in each of us. Coursing thru our bodies—Wreaking havoc on our mind, spirit, body & soul.

Argumentation:

Rom. 7:14-23—READ—“For we know that the Law is spiritual; but I am of flesh, sold into bondage to sin. For that which I am doing, I do not understand; for I am not practicing what I would like to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate. But if I do the very thing I do not wish to do, I agree with the Law, confessing that it is good. So now, no longer am I the one doing it, but sin which indwells me. For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the wishing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not. For the good that I wish, I do not do; but I practice the very evil that I do not wish. But if I am doing the very thing I do not wish, I am no longer the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me. I find then the principle that evil is present in me, the one who wishes to do good. For I joyfully concur with the law of God in the inner man, but I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind, & making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members.”
