Summary: Today we continue with the second part of the Lord's prayer, Thy Kingdom Come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Thy Will Be Done:

In the Lord’s prayer, when Jesus said we request for the Kingdom to come, there is an addition for this to be effective. Let your Kingdom Come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

The fullness of the manifestation of the kingdom is experienced where His will is allowed.

So today, we will focus on why we need to pray this prayer and what it means when we pray for His will to be done.

1. It is a prayer of surrender.

Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.

In any relationship it is essential to know what someone is like; we figure out their likes and don’ts to get along better.

In this matter of the kingdom, it is unreasonable to expect one to flourish without understanding the will of the King of this kingdom.

We are living in times of democracy, which states it about the will of the people, and for the people. Politically, one must understand the desires, needs, and wishes of the people to excel in gaining people's trust and votes. If their manifesto aligns with what the people need it is easy to win their hearts.

In this Kingdom, it is about surrendering our will and yielding to His Will.

2. Know His Will

There is a call for us to Know His will. As mentioned earlier, we strive to know what people like when forming a relationship. Imagine if your husband brought home something that you are allergic to for you. It will raise questions, I thought he knew me, or did he forget I should not use this?

This is a journey of discovery in this kingdom. We ought to pursue knowing his will.

For it is God’s will that by doing good, you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people.
