Summary: When we pray "Thy Kingdom come", what do we mean by this? Jesus spends much time teaching on the kingdom that is to come and how we can be involved in it. In order to understand your role in the kingdom, we must first understand what the "Kingdom" is.
What are we saying when we pray, “Thy kingdom come”?
1. “I know this world’s system is not your kingdom.” JOHN 18:36
2. “I know you have a greater kingdom.” LUKE 17:21
3. “I know that your purposes are eternal.” MATTHEW 6:33
4. “I know I must resist the temptation to live for the here and now.”
MATTHEW 6:19-21
5. “You are my King.” REVELATION 19:16
6. “I am first and foremost a citizen of your kingdom.” HEBREWS 13:14
7. “I know I have to learn a new way of thinking and living.” MATTHEW 5:3
8. “I want to learn your kingdom.” MATTHEW 13:1-52
