Three New Years Resolutions (Hix)

Micah 7:7-Therefore I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me.

1-Resolution of Faith- "I Will Look."

The search engine processes over 150 million searches a day, People have become reliant on search engines as the be-all, end-all place to search for information. Most people think a search engine will have the answer to any question they could possibly have—whether it’s personal, professional, or even spiritual.

Jeremiah 29:12-14-Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

I will be found by you, says the Lord

Promises encourage me, Experience teaches me, The Lord commands me, Looking comforts me.

2-Resolution of Patience- "I Will Wait."

Someone once tried to frighten the cowboy entertainer Will Rogers by asking him, “If you knew that you had only 48 hours to live, how would you spend them?” Rogers wisely replied, “One at a time.”

A boy called home on his cell phone, telling his parents that traffic had stopped on the Interstate and that he would be late arriving. His mom started worrying and said, “I hope he’ll be okay.”

The dad said, “There’s nothing to worry about. It’s just a delay.”

The father told his family later, “My words caught me by surprise, as it seemed God was repeating those words to me. I had been waiting for the Lord to answer one of my prayers. It was like He said, “There’s nothing to worry about. It’s just a delay.”

Why should we wait?

God's time is best.

God's blessings are worth waiting for.

God will not disappoint us

Give God time…And a ram gets caught in a thicket, to replace the son on the altar!

Give God time…And a Israelite saves the Egyptian nation from a famine!

Give God time…And the sea parts as the Egyptians’ come closer!

Give God time…And the walls come down on a fortified city!

Give God time…For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given;

And the government will be upon His shoulder.

And His name will be called

Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,

Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Give God time…And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

Because when you give God time, you get to see His Mighty Hand

3- Resolution of Confidence "My God Will Hear Me."

He will hear me though my cry is feeble.

He will hear me though my faith is weak.

He will hear me though my request is great.

He will hear me though others may dislike me.

He will hear me when I am alone.

What A Joy To Know That My God Is Near And That "My God Will Hear

Me.
