Thou Shall Decree a Thing and It Shall be Established

Study Text: Job 22: 27 - 29

Introduction:

- To decree a thing means to authoritatively order or give instructions with the back up of the law for its enforcement.

- God has made us Kings and Priests. And one of the

characteristics peculiar to Kings is the power to decree. Revelation 1:6

- As Priests and Kings in the Kingdom of God, we have been empowered to decree irresistibly, anything we want to see established in our lives and in the lives of others as we desired. Ecclesiastes 8:4

- As Kings in the Kingdom of God, we have been called into the life of the supernatural; with the necessary power and authority to do successfully and victoriously whatever we want to do. John 10: 19-20

- All we need is the understanding and spiritual enlightenment about who we are and what we have been made of in Jesus Christ. Ephesians 1: 19-22

- It is expected of us to stand on the integrity of the Word of God and to decree whatever we want to see happen in our lives; and God will put the machinery in place to have them established unto us.

- We shall be discussing the topic under three subheadings:

1. Your Position in the Kingdom of God

2. Your Pronouncement by the Kingdom of God

3. Your Possession at the Kingdom of God

1. Your Position in the Kingdom of God

- Since the day a believer received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour, he is given a new position of a Son in the Kingdom of God with all associated benefits and privileges. John 1:11-12

- Christians’ kingship is not by human selection or election, but it is by divine appointment and authorization. So, it is practically impossible to be voted out of power by men's arrangements and oppositions.

- The whole world was in darkness until the Lord issued a decree. The world was void, dark and without form, and God said : “Let there be light.”

- God created something out of nothing. That same power with creative capabilities, He gives to all His Children too, so that they can issue decrees and there shall be an irresistible performance of that which is decreed.

2. Your Pronouncement by the Kingdom of God:

- It is only within the Kingdom of God and as you remain in the Kingdom can you make a pronouncement that will be supported by the Kingdom power. Colossians 1:13

- The thing you will decree must be listed in the Kingdom promises before it can enjoy the support of the Kingdom power. Matthew 16:18-20

- Every decision you make based on the principles and promises of the Kingdom of God becomes an order that will attract divine authority to bring to pass its fulfilment and performance. That is, you will not just be saying it; power will be backing it up for accomplishments.

- Your decree as a Kingdom Soldier becomes an authoritative order or pronouncement to which people, powers and situations have to comply with by all means.

- By your decree and pronouncement, you decide what is to be done and what has to take place. Ecclesiastes 8:7

- We are Kings by divine appointment, and our pronouncement must be authoritative. We are not expected to plead with Satanic powers to release what they have captured or make a request to them. We are not asked to pacify the enemy; but to confront and control them.

- When we issue our decrees, they cannot be challenged, resisted or opposed by any personality or principality.

- The Bible says: If any of you shall say to the mountain: Be thou removed and cast into the sea and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he said shall come to pass; he shall have whatever he saith (Matthew 11:23).

- You need to issue decrees against some powers, persons and situations today, and God will watch over His Words to bring it to pass as you have decreed.

- This authority, God gave to all, who qualify through the saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, that they may enjoy its blessings. And until you use this authority, the enemy will keep hindering God’s best from coming your way. Therefore, you’re encouraged to decree a thing and God will establish it unto you.

- So, when Christians decree a thing, they have the full backing of God and it is permanent.

- Also, when Christians decree things, they establish the will of God on earth that it be as it is in heaven.

- Decreeing God’s word is to engage the backing of God, the highest authority, both in the spiritual and physical realm. So, choose to decree God’s word over your life, family, situations, or the challenge you are facing and it will be established.
