Summary: If you meet a man who is not in His presence, not working, who cannot cultivate and protect you and teach you the Word of God, is it good for that man to be alone?

Do you read the first marriage in history found in the constitution of our nation: Section Genesis sub-section 2 article 15-18; 21-23?

1. V. 15a - First of all, it says God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden. The word Eden is not referring to a garden of trees even though there were trees there. It is referring to order. When God made the first man, He put him in His presence. The first thing that God gave the man was his presence - Eden. So, the first thing that a man needs is not a woman. The first thing or the most important thing that man needs is the presence of God and the woman should meet you in the presence of God. Some women amaze me. They leave the presence of God go to a pub or a random place to find a guy and then try to drag him into the presence of God. Eve met Adam in Eden.

2. V. 15b - And then the next thing that God told the one simple word in Genesis 2 verse 15 - Work. God gave work to the man before the woman. Everyone says: Work before Woman. A man needs a job before he gets the woman. God's priorities are very clear.

3. V. 15c - The third thing that God told a man in Genesis chapter 2 verse 15 - He says Cultivate. Cultivate means to bring out the best in everything around you. To maximize the potential of everything around you. To make everything fruitful. He said this only to the man. That's why God never gave the man a finished woman. The Man was created by God to create what he wants. The woman you're looking for my brothers’, does not exist. She is just in your head. Your job is to take the raw material you married and cultivate it into the woman in your head.

So, you have been married for 20 years or less and you still do not like the product you get, then it's your own doing.

Jesus Christ is a real man. He has a beautiful bride which is the church. Jesus said about his wife, husbands love your wives like I love my wife - the church. He is telling us how to do it. You wash her, then you remove every spot wrinkle blemish and present her to yourself. So, ladies when you see your husband, tell him to cultivate you.

Illustration: If your wife is underweight, give her the good stuff to eat but if she is putting on a little weight, and if you don't like it, don't criticize her. Wake her up early in the morning and take her for a run. You are cultivating her. You don't like her dress take her down to Forever 21 at the mall and buy her a dress. Guys cultivate your wives. She can't speak good Spanish/English or doesn't have a good job, send her to school and pay for it.

4. V. 17 - The fourth thing God told the man. He said Guard the Garden. The man is supposed to be the protector of everything under his care. That is why God gave you a stronger bone frame and a bigger muscle mass. Not to abuse the woman but to protect her.

5. Vs. 16-17 - The last thing that God gave the man, was His Word. God said Adam do not touch the tree. He never told the woman about the tree. The man was the only one who got the word of God. His job was to teach his wife the Word of God. Nothing can frustrate a woman more. The woman will ask the man, so what do you think? And that dummy would answer what are you thinking? Guys don't do that! She is looking for knowledge and direction. That was the last command God gave the man. That is the truth that is in verse 15, 16 and 17.

Application: Then in verse 18, God said it is not good for this man to be alone. Let us not try to read this statement in a hurry. Let us read it slowly. It is not good for this man to be alone. What man is he talking about? The man who is in his presence, working, who cultivates you and protect you and teaches you the Word of God. So, here's the problem ladies, if you meet a man who is not in His presence, not working, who cannot cultivate and protect you and teach you the Word of God, it is good for that man to be alone!
