Hebrews 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

We find many expressions of Jesus in the NT, but today I want to call your attention to

one in which He is called “this man”.

Two men were walking in a garden when one of the men turned to other and asked this question. “What does Jesus mean to you?” He replied as he pointed to a flower, “As the

sun is to that flower so is Jesus to me.

I hope Jesus is real to you, and He is your everything as you live in this world.

“Perhaps you have heard about the little boy who returned home after his first Sunday School class. His mother asked, "Who was your teacher?" and the little boy answered, "I don't remember her name, but she must have been Jesus' grandmother because she didn't talk about anyone else." 1

I-WE SEE THIS MAN JESUS AS THE DIVINE MAN:

Mark 15:39 And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.

1-You and I as Christians weren’t there in person, but because we know this Divine man Jesus, we can shout the cry of the centurion who was there as he said, “Truly this was the Son of God. “

2-A Japanese man after reading the book of John said, “this book is not about a man, it is about God.

3-When Christ is seen and studied, every honest person must acknowledge his deity.

4- Rev. W. Kingstone Greenland visited a vacant house with a friend who desired to purchase it. The friend was particularly struck by the beauty of one of the rooms which he wished to turn into his study; but he objected to a cupboard in the corner. "I will have to remove it," he said to the architect. "No, you won't," was the reply. "But I can do what I like if I buy the house," said the man. "You cannot do what you like with that cupboard," answered the architect. "Why not?" he asked. "Is it protected by a clause in the deed?" "No," said the architect, "it is not on the deed; it is on the plan. You cannot take away the cupboard without taking down the house, it is part of the main structure."

So if we take away the deity of Christ, we destroy the whole structure of Christianity. That doctrine is built in. It is central. It is structural of the structure.

II-WE SEE THIS MAN JESUS AS THE FAULTLESS MAN:

Luke 23:4 Then said Pilate to the chief priests and [to] the people, I find no fault in this man.

1-Three times in these scriptures, we find the statement, “I find no fault in this man”. He did no sin, He knew no sin, and in Him was no sin, For He was the Divine Son of God.

2-He was holy in nature, harmless in action, and undefiled in life, and without sin.

3-I was preaching in a revival on the Island of Guam back in the spring of 1995. The Saturday night before the revival began, I went to the University of Guam to watch the Billy Graham special on the giant screen in the gym. During the invitation over a 100 people gave their lives to this faultless Christ. The next day as I arrived at the Church, one of the members said, Bro. Evie, a lady was killed less than two blocks from here early this morning. We later found out that this woman was one of those who had been saved the night before. She had found no fault in Him and was saved the day before she was killed.

III-WE SEE THIS MAN JESUS AS THE POWERFUL MAN:

Matthew 8:27 But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!

1-In the years 1014-1035 there ruled over England a Danish king named Canute. King Canute tired of hearing his retainers flatter him with extravagant praises of his greatness, power and invincibility. He ordered his chair to be set down on the seashore, where he commanded the waves not to come in and wet him. No matter how forcefully he ordered the tide not to come in, however, his order was not obeyed. Soon the waves lapped around his chair. One historian tells us that, therefore, he never wore his crown again, but hung it on a statue of the crucified Christ. 2

2-There is only one powerful enough to still the waves and His name is Jesus. When Christ stilled the raging of the sea, they recognized there were in the presence of the Lord of nature.
