IV. TEXT:

Isaiah 41:11 (Amplified Bible)

Behold, all they who are enraged and inflamed against you shall be put to shame and confounded; they who strive against you shall be as nothing and shall perish.

V. THESIS:

Praise, worship and thank You very much LORD JESUS for You have put to shame and confusion our enemies, turning them Your enemies, they shall be as nothing and will perish, they only expect terrible things to happen to them because of Your Presence.

VI. TITLE:

This is what will happen to those who are angry with me

VII. EXPLICATION:

A. Author: Isaiah, the prophet

B. Date written: 740-680 b.c.—Thompson Chain - Bible Book Outlines

C. Purpose: To reveal that salvation, physical and spiritual, is of the Lord.—Thompson Chain - Bible Book Outlines

D. To whom written: Nation of Judah

E. Key word: Salvation. Isaiah means "Salvation of Jehovah"

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. They will be put to shame and confounded

"Behold, all they who are enraged and inflamed against you shall be put to shame and confounded;"

The English word used here is "incensed" or "charah" in Hebrew meaning:

1. to glow or grow warm

2. to blaze up of anger, zeal, jealousy

3. be angry, burn, be displeased

4. earnestly, fret self, grieve, be (wax) hot, be incensed, kindle, X very, be wroth

Isaiah 45:24 (Amplified Bible)

45:24 Only in the Lord shall one say, I have righteousness (salvation and victory) and strength [to achieve]. To Him shall all come who were incensed against Him, and they shall be ashamed.

Isaiah 54:17 (Amplified Bible)

54:17 But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord [those in whom the ideal Servant of the Lord is reproduced]; this is the righteousness or the vindication which they obtain from Me [this is that which I impart to them as their justification], says the Lord.

Zechariah 12:3 (Amplified Bible)

12:3 And in that day I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all peoples; all who lift it or burden themselves with it shall be sorely wounded. And all the nations of the earth shall come and gather together against it.

Exodus 23:22 (Amplified Bible)

23:22 But if you will indeed listen to and obey His voice and all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.

It's a terrible thing to fall in the hands of GOD, if they are our enemies, GOD will make sure they become GOD's enemies as well.

Hebrews 10:31 (Amplified Bible)

10:31 It is a fearful (formidable and terrible) thing to incur the divine penalties and be cast into the hands of the living God!

Hebrews 10:31 (God's Word)

10:31 Falling into the hands of the living God is a terrifying thing.

B. They shall be as nothing and they shall perish

"they who strive against you shall be as nothing and shall perish."

Isaiah 41:24 (Amplified Bible)

41:24 Behold, you [idols] are nothing, and your work is nothing! The worshiper who chooses you is an abomination [extremely disgusting and shamefully vile in God’s sight].

Isaiah 41:29 (Amplified Bible)

41:29 Behold, these [pagan prophets and priests] are all emptiness (falseness and futility)! Their works are worthless; their molten images are empty wind (confusion and waste).

Isaiah 40:17 (Amplified Bible)

40:17 All the nations are as nothing before Him; they are regarded by Him as less than nothing and emptiness (waste, futility, and worthlessness).

Daniel 4:35 (Amplified Bible)

4:35 And all the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing. And He does according to His will in the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth, and none can stay His hand or say to Him, What are You doing?

Apart from the LORD JESUS we are nothing, how much more if we fight against the LORD.

John 15:5 (Amplified Bible)

15:5 I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.

IX. CONCLUSION:

Praise, worship and thank You very much LORD JESUS for You have put to shame and confusion our enemies, turning them Your enemies, they shall be as nothing and will perish, they only expect terrible things to happen to them because of Your Presence.
