Things Of Which We Can Be Assured

“Things Of Which we can be Assured” Text: 2Tim 3:13-14.

Intro:

There is not much we can be assured of in our world anymore. We sometimes experience a spiralling inflation and an economy out of control. The promises of politicians, economists, and world leaders sometimes fade away with the same breath in which they are made. However the things that Gods Word projects are both sure and steadfast.

1.We Can Be Assured Of Gods Presence:

A. Moses would not move forward until he was assured of Gods presence(Ex 33:14).

B. The Christian can have the fullness of Joy in His Presence(ps 16:11)

C. Times of Spiritual refreshing are to be found in His presence(Acts 3:19).

2. We Can Be Assured Of Gods Protection.

A. David said, ”when my heart is overwhelmed lead me to the Rock that is higher than I, For Thou hast been a shelter for me(psalm 61:2-3)

B. Isaiah said “No weapon formed against thee shall prosper(Is 54:17)

C. Christ said” neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand(John 10:28)

1. The devil can’t cross the Blood Line.

2. The devil can’t break the seal of the Holy Ghost,

3. The devil can’t put to flight an angelic Host

4. The devil can’t dislodge Jesus from the Father’s right hand

5. The devil can’t pry open the hand of the Lord.

3.We Can Be Assured of Gods Provision.

A. He is our Jehovah Jireh(The Lord will provide(Gen 22:8-14).

B. “My God shall supply all of your needs according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus(Phil 4:19)

4. We Can Be Assured Of Gods Peace.

A. God has promised to bless His people with peace(Ps 29:11)

B. The peace of Christ was left to us as a living legacy (Jon 14:27)

C. Along with righteousness and joy that are found in the Holy Ghost, there is also peace.(Rom 14:17)

Concl:

The Christian can hold on to and rely upon the blessed assurance found in Gods Word. Though the world around us is raging, and there is unrest and upheaval on every front. We are assured daily of His presence, His protection, His provision, His peace.
