Jesus, Jesus, Jesus

There’s just something about that name

Master, Savior, Jesus

Like the fragrance after the rain

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus

Let all heaven and earth proclaim

Kings and kingdoms shall all pass away

But there’s something about that name.

What is it about that name that is so special?

* The Bible tells us in Matthew 1:21 that Mary was instructed by the angel Gabriel to name the child Jesus, "because He will save His people from their sins."

* John 20:31 tells us, "these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name."

* 1 Corinthians 6:11 reminds us, "But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God."

* 1 John 3:23 gives is a bit of wisdom, "And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us."

**** believed in her heart all about Jesus. She believed that Jesus saved her and forgave her of all her sins. She believed that the blood of Jesus washed away all her sin and guilt. She believed. She put her faith in Jesus Christ and lived a lift of faith. She believed John 20:31 when it says that we will have "life in His name." She knew that when her time on Earth was over, that she would have eternal life with God. She believed in the words of Jesus and believed when He said (John 14:1-4), "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going."

Today, **** is with Jesus. She is with the One who promised to take away her sin. She is with the One who promised to give grace and mercy. She is with the One who promised to take her to be with Him. She is with the One who promises comfort for you today as your mourn her loss. This same Jesus that opened His arms wide for **** offers you comfort and peace for your heart today.

Jesus says to us today:

* Matthew 5:4, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted."

* Matthew 11:28, "Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
