During Christmas this year I believe that God wants to destroy the enemy’s boots and uniforms that may be laying around your house.

For our God is a consuming fire.

The Bible talks about fire many times. God’s fire will judge and destroy the wickedness and evil of this world.

Malachi 3:2 speaks of God being like a “refiner’s fire”

And in Acts chapter 2 we know that the Holy Spirit came in the form of fire on the Day of Pentecost in the form of “cloven tongues of fire”.

There is only one true fire. The fire of God.

This same fire will strengthen you to live for Jesus. It will cleanse and purify you.

That same fire will warm your soul at Christmas time as we observe the birth of the Savior.

Isaiah 7:14

Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

That child, Jesus, is your sign of freedom, He is your evidence of the things you have been hoping for. He is the sign of your deliverance and the source of your reconciliation. This Child, Jesus, will be the perfection of your life.

Let Him cleanse you. Let Him deliver you from the darkness of this world. Let burn with in you and refine you this morning.
